Anyone had any dealings with Console World and Hiway HiFi Electronics?

PriceSpy is saying they're the cheapest places for Infamous Second Son and Bloodborne respectively but I'm a little wary of places claiming to be cheaper than the usual suspects.

haven't used either but infamous is on sale at the moment on PSN for £10.79 (with PS+ Discount)

Hi guys! Need some quick clarification as I'm about to buy a PS4:

1- The console is 100% region free right? I know about the restrictions for DLCs but apart from that, if I buy a game from the US and log in to the UK PSN, will I still be able to download patches/updates?

2- Anyone here ever bought a physical game from another region which did not work for some reason?

3- I loved inFamous2. Should I buy Second Son, First Light or both?

4- Is the KZ Shadowfall campaign any good? Loved KZ2 and 3

5- Finally, is it worth buying TLOU Remastered even though I completed it on ps3?

Thanks

I live pretty close to 4 ASDAs. Only went to 3 as I'd bought enough by the third. Got Alien Isolation, Shadow of Mordor, Sleeping Doge, RE2 Revelations 2, Farming Simulator 15, Saints Row IV, The Crew and Terraria for ps4. There were some xbone games there as well, but not nearly as many.

First shop (Radcliffe, Bury) a girl was sat sorting through the ps4 games and said she had all the discounted ones in the back, but I already had most of them. 2nd one (Bolton Burnden Park) had nothing out on the shelves, staff who handle games section off this week, but none of the games I saw cheap were anywhere to be seen, not a single copy, so if you're local that might be a good one to try tomorrow (I overheard that the consoles were showing as going cheap tomorrow as a guy there was attempting to buy multiple ps4 and xbox ones, but they were showing full price when scanned). Last shop (Astley Bridge, Bolton) had almost bare shelves making way for midnight FIFA apparently. The sale stuff was next to the counter. Plenty of games here for between £7.50 and £10, but again, already had most of them. The one I really wanted for a tenner, Borderlands, they had 2 copies but both sold yesterday.

Knack was hand-labelled at £30 :D And I paid £7 for Terraria, that's 2x the PSN sale price for the luxury of a box - d'oh!

You'd have to log-in to the US account and manually search for updates (automatic downloads won't work as presumably you won't have a PS+ subscription on the US account...) but doing this will allow you to download everything as normal.

2- Anyone here ever bought a physical game from another region which did not work for some reason?

I haven't had it happen to me personally, nor have I heard of it happening.
You should be fine.

3- I loved inFamous2. Should I buy Second Son, First Light or both?

Well both are on sale in a bundle on the store this week for £14.99, good timing!
At that price it's worth picking up the two, at the very least it's two easy platinums.

4- Is the KZ Shadowfall campaign any good? Loved KZ2 and 3

It's a huge step down and significantly worse than 2 and 3's campaigns imo.
Pretty graphics, dire story and gameplay.

5- Finally, is it worth buying TLOU Remastered even though I completed it on ps3?

1080p60 with all DLC included and it too is on sale this week (£15.99.) DO IT.

Just back from my local asda and picked up £67 quids worth of Games, there was plenty the only game sold out was watch dogs.

I picked up:

PS3 - Borderlands 2 £3
PS4 - The Crew £8
PS4 - Don Bradman Cricket £8
PS4 - Alien £10
PS4 - Metro Double Pack £12
Xbox 360 - Dead Island Double Pack £6
Xbox One - Trials Fusion Max Edition £10
Xbox One - Wolfenstein The New Order £10

There was Just Dance, Transformers, PES 2015 and Farming Sim priced between £8 - £10 but I passed on that. Dark Souls 2 was £10 for 360.

Don't even like cricket but I will give it a go!

at these prices people could have a field day at game with the trade ins....

I bought Dragon age inquisition for £8 from my local Asda. Discounted ps4 games had a rack dedicated to them. Nothing really caught my eye though. I debated getting Lords of the fallen and The crew but decided not to.

I asked at the till if they had any Vita games and they pulled out 3 copies of the Killzone game and 2 of the GOW collection :p

That's not correct in my experience, I purchase everything on a USA Account and play on my Irish Account and I've never had to log onto the USA account to get a patch to start downloading. PS4 stays in rest mode 24/7 and updates download when they are released

I posted this on hotukdeals but didn't post here - forgive me GAF! Zavvi have currently got Mad Max PS4 with DLC for £29.99

Do it!!!

I am thinking of getting a ps4 in the next month or so. Should I wait for black Friday? What were the black Friday sales like compared to the regular discounts you get year round? I am only interested In a few games at the moment (as I will mostly game on pc) so bundles with loads of extra games wouldn't be of much interest.

If you're in the UK the £50 price cut starts in like a week. Whether retailers choose to keep the price the same and bundle an extra game or two is up to them, but unless you want a limited edition PS4 like I did wait for the Black Friday sales cause they should be decent.

Plus, you can just trade in/sell all the bundled games to make buying the PS4 itself cheaper.

Thanks. Black Friday as a goal gives me a little bit of time. I want to finish off the must play games in my ps3 backlog and then sell on the ps3 (superslim) to gather funds. I will probably buy another ps3 down the line but get a second hand slim next time instead.

Ah glad someone asked about ps4s and BF. I swear ive asked about deals about 6 times over the last year then backed out at the last second. Ive now got a nice shiney new W8 2015 TV so I feel Im prepared for the next gen leap.

Hoping for a good Bloodborne/MGS/Destiny deals with a C chassis PS4

Some nice prices in the EU PSN sale for once, albeit in many cases for old games (PS One Classics). A few highlights that I've seen (PS+ prices):

Terraria (PS4) - £2.60
The Last of Us Remastered (PS4) - £14.39

Metal Gear Solid (PS1) - £4.00 / Special Missions (PS1) - £3.25 / Portable Ops Plus (PSP) - £2.37
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) - £3.20
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back / Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped / CTR: Crash Team Racing (PS1) - £2 each
Spyro The Dragon / Spyro 2: Gateway To Glimmer / Spyro 3: Year Of The Dragon (PS1) - £2 each
Spyro The Dragon Trilogy (PS1) - £4

Does anyone else ever have constant problems with their SimplyGames password not being accepted? I use Lastpass so I'm definitely entering it correctly but every time I use them I seem to have to reset it. Now even a reset isn't letting me place an order as it asks for a password twice during the order process and never accepts the second one. Ugh. They seem to only let you use PayPal or cards via PayPal now which I'm not fond of either, I'm sure that wasn't always the case.

Transformers Devastation on PC is only £17.29 on Amazon.co.uk, but there's also another page with it at £44.99. Anyone know the difference? I wonder if either activates on Steam.

When I was looking at other retailers when looking at PS4 prices, I noticed that most places were doing the PC version for £20 or less - it's been making me rethink what platform to go for!

I didn't notice more than one version being sold. Wonder if it's an error in the Amazon site listing it twice?

Yeah, i went to 2 in my local area both are on my way home from work.
dark souls 2 was 12 quid in the other one. so i dont think prices are nationwide.
diablo 3 was 10 quid in one and 30 in the other. already had that though.

I've got an unclaimed digital version of FIFA 16 that came with my Xbox One bundle, that I have no use for. Is anyone interested? Or should I just bite the bullet and play it for the hell of it? Lol. Already have PES16 for the PS4.

Side note, anyone know the cheapest price for Halo 5?

£36.99 from Game with the code 5OFFGAME.

And personally, I'd give FIFA a bash. I had no interest for years until I actually played one and find it perfect for just chilling for half an hour or so and messing about in career mode. Course, I'd get humped online but still.

Can that code only be used once per account?

If you buy a soundtrack from the PSN store, are you able to download it as MP3 files, or is it just an app that can only be played on PS4?

I don't know how it works in general, but Resogun on PS4 is a separate application that plays the soundtrack on PS4, but also allows you to copy the files (as MP3) to a USB device from within the application.

If you don't want it I'd buy it for a reasonable price. Son has been playing the access version and is likely to want the Xbox version to play with friends (had ps4 FIFA 15)
