I think this is something worth mentioning to new players, only because there have been a couple of notable issues in the past:
If you have previous experience playing forum Mafia, especially in a community with a strongly established metagame, please don't come into GAF Mafia with too many preconceived notions. That's not to say we're terrible players, or that established meta won't come in handy, but we have definitely developed something of a unique style. Also, since the returning players have all been in the trenches with one another, we've established a bit of a rapport, and it might take a new player a little longer to get their bearings.
I don't say this to scare anyone off; quite the opposite, actually. GAFia is a very welcoming community, as long as you come in with an open mind and remember that everything said during a game is only in the spirit of the game. I was a new player last season, and I'm happy to say that the experience introduced me to a multitude of great new friends. This community has become a second home for me, and I look forward to meeting all of our new players as Season 4 gets underway.

I've never played one of these before, but they certainly sound fascinating. I was glancing at the Danganronpa one while it was happening. Though it fundamentally sounds simple from everything I read in the OP, it still does seem overwhelming. Regardless, I'd be up for participating in this one. I'm good at following rules, anyways.
