The Frame Rate of Fallout 4 in Interiors is horrible [PS4]

Figured this would run the worst on PS4. I just had a hunch.

So if this runs better on XB1 can we finally start to talk about MS marketing deal shenanigans because this would make it 100%. The other games that ran better on XB1 all had marketing deals but anytime anyone brings it up they get a tinfoilhat.gif thrown in their face.
Rightfully so. Get outa here with this shit.

Tales from your ass, why would it run worst on the best species console? Because of 3rd party exclsuive marketing deal with MS?

If it runs bad about on PS4, expect the same or worse on X1, this is not the same scenario as 360 / PS3.

TW3 and AC:U both ran worse on PS4. Both marketed by MS.

Because X1 is possibly lead console with development and they did spend extra time porting skyrim to X1. We'll see In a few days

Good point. Still with PS4 being so much easier to develop for compared to PS3 should mean there are little to no problems. Maybe it's a case of..,..some folks will encounter shitloads of issues and others very little. I for one had countless of lockups in New Vegas,. but a friend of mine barely had any.

I mean, all Bethesda games run fine on PC, these consoles are basically PCs. I don't understand, unless Fallout 4 is a fuck up on PC too.

That scope video is something. Wondering how the XB1 version holds up but I'll likely be holding off on this one.

I dont care if you can't notice fine that's understandable, but saying "what do you expect its a bethseda game" oooo boy i hate that response

Instead of hating on someone who EXPECTS Bethesda games to perform sub-par on consoles (which is pretty understandable, going by their past record), maybe vote with your wallet? If people keep pre-ordering and buying Bethesda games by the millions, they have absolutely no need to rectify their games' technical shortcomings.

So if they sent the PS4 version for reviews can we assume the Xbox One performance is equal or worse? Seems like they would send the better version if given the choice.

here's a video, i've recorder earlier today.

i just uploaded it, so youtube is still converting it, i think.

the framerate war fine until i used the scope, then it dropped significantly, making it hard to get a good shot.

This is clearly an unplayable frame rate! In your time with game would you say this a consistent issue, or something limited to a few specific situations?

They are not exactly powerful boxes! The Witcher 3 had similar performance issues to what we are seeing here, as does Assassins Creed Syndicate. I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a trend with games like this!

All good, we all know their engine has to do heavy lifting so you can lift all the items scattered around the world. Just pick up enough frames and its gonna be fine

Made it through Fallout 3/NV and Skyrim on PS3 (all at launch), Blight Town, and Ass Creed Unity at launch on PS4, so that doesn't look like it will bother me much at all.

That said, it's disappointing that its even happening at all. No excuse at this point, really.

What kind of an attitude is this to have? It's a Bethesda console game, what did you expect?

Perhaps if Bethesda are so incompetent that they can't release a game that keeps a stable frame rate they shouldn't be releasing games on consoles in the first place.

As some one who doesn't have a pic and loves Bethesda games, no. Just no. I'd rather play them as janky as they are (and I mostly played them on PS3) then not even have the option. They are nowhere near so bad that I'd rather not play them at all. And new Vegas got unfinishable for me (after 200+ hours) and if still rather have the option to play it. And if I call it unplayable (and it is a game I absolutely love) that says something. I'm really not picky about stuff like frame rates. Especially if your game otherwise is hellafun. And new Vegas was my favorite game of all time even with it getting unplayable.

Fuck that's so much worse; there not even far away! Like games can get away with this over long distances and mainly through binoculours etc. But scope with a gun that close? What exactly is the game doing that hits the frames here? Even going in and out of scope is the worse as it clearly causes jank to move to the next attack (see how the user had to jump to vats when the dog jumped as it was too jittery to aim).

That's the worst we've had so far. Just awful.

And people wonder how Bethesda can "get away with it" with every release. Well, here's how...

I'm not buying it for now though, and I don't own any current gen system; I was just commenting that it didn't seem "horrible", just "choppy".

Yeah, that's a more visible example. Don't understand what's causing that as the objects were already rendered. Anybody know if there's similar reaction on the XBone or PC? Hadn't heard it yet from that side.

Also, your a monster for shooting that dog.

Thank GOD I'm not a stickler for these things. I'm sure there was a dip but I didn't even notice it and I expected it to be much worse.

Damn! That scope video is nasty.

Others on a German forum reported FPS drops too. But some here have reported few. Some of the streams looked rough too, while some didn't.

Bethesda was nice enough to make it so you have a chance at the game running like shit or running fine, like a roulette. Expect with 60 bucks!

I regret going digital with my preorder!

I have this odd feeling that Fallout 4 on Xbox One is going to performed better. Bethesda might not have enough time to have optimizations on PS4 compared to the X1 version. Did the game crash for you?
