Tecmo KOEI sales in NA playstation store

Yeah, Ayesha is amazing, can't recommend it enough.

Will probably pick up SWC3 on Vita. Still debating Arnosurge+

KoeiTecmoNA Rep: Wish you guys would discount the DLC for SW4 and WO3 sometime, there's so much of it and it's never been discounted. There's always next time, right? xD

I would like to try my first Dynasty Warriors game for PS4 or Vita. I'm a little more interested in Samurai Warriors since I'd probably enjoy the Japanese storyline better, but is there a Warriors game that's miles above the rest on sale?

doesn't doa already include a ton of ultimate costumes with the base game? thinking it would be a better choice to buy what i want separately instead of the bundles. and how's the online?

they're all a bit different with their own pros and cons. orochi 3 is my personal favorite with significantly more bang for your buck. for you it sounds like a choice between characters and content or the story mode

Performance wise Samurai Warriors 4 seems to be the best. DW Next has Vita gimmicks (it has a demo). I think (not sure) that Warriors Orochi 3 has a story that continues from the previous WO games. Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends performs badly compared to the others but it's still playable.

I don't know anything about Samurai Warriors 3 Chronicles.

Overall (as someone who also wants to get their first musou) I'd say wait for a sale on SW4.

Believes Dragon Quest is a franchise managed by Sony
Before I give money:

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus & Sigma 2 Plus work on PSTV, right?

I would not recommend either of them. I felt i wasted my money on Sigma for PSTV, the game constantly skipped around like it was going at 15 FPS perpetually. It definitely didn't feel like 30, much less 60 like the original

Thanks for the replies. After checking out your feedback and some from others, I think I'm going to try out SW 4. I'm interested in the Samurai storylines, and many have said it's kind of an amalgamation of all best features of the newer entries. Should go nicely with Nightmare Princess.

The gameplay tends to drag itself and get repetitive towards the end.
The pacing also could be better. You can spend hours on battle and then hours just watching cutscenes and dialogue.

The story ? Probably one of the best I have seen recently.

The game is a follow up to Ciel nosurge (read here: http://www.unit03.net/view/Ciel_nosurge/Summary) that wasn't localized and probably never will be. Even as it own thing, it stands as a good story with pretty interesting characters.

Other people can explain this better than me, but let's say that this is a game that pulls you in into this world and makes you care about the characters and what's happening.

EDIT:

Read above. Do it.

Yeah, Ar nosurge (plus too) is a steal at $20. Played the Vita version earlier this year. Tons of content and it's obvious that a lot of love went into the game's development. Just make sure you read the summary of Ciel first.

Debating getting this game, it being story focused makes it a little more appealing that Ayesha, but I've heard the game's dialogue can drag on for a long time? Personally, I like games these days more and more where I can make meaningful progress of some kind in less than an hour, and I've heard that just using the crafting system can have characters discuss what was crafted for half an hour afterwards? That's seems like a major problem in pacing for me.

The praise for the game has interested me, but I'm really not sure if I'd be able to get into a game that takes its sweet time getting going, not unless I really like the game and meaningful progression is happening, even when characters talk for hours. Is the world in a linear corridor kind of fashion, or is there some exploration or open environments? Sidequests that don't involve crafting? Apparently it is necessary for the true end? Not sure how I feel about that :/.

Sorry to double post, but I thought I should try again.

I've actually looked up enough about the game to decide that I'm interested. The only problem is that I've heard the localization is spotty? Though I think I've only heard that from reviews of the original version on PS3. Did the patch for the original version fix this? Apparently it fixed some terminology errors, misplaced NPC dialogue and some other things, but I haven't seen any information on whether the patch fixed the errors with certain characters' names being switched around several times in the same conversation (Zill vs. Jill).

I'm interested from what I've read, but I want to know if the Plus version has any iffy dialogue anymore or whether it was all fixed in the re-release or patch on the PS3 version? Please respond soon!
