Well I tried to explain to them 5 times that the only promo credit I received was amazon video credit and when I tried to order an amazon basics HDMI, nothing was deducted. They said the credit was in my account but you can't use it towards a lightning deal, tried another item not in any deal or promo and nope the credit doesn't work.

So they're just wrong?

edit: i can't be bothered with it right now, I'll try it another day.

Amazon Instant video is their streaming service, so it'll only work for digital movies & tv shows.

EDIT- You should explain to them that you got the wrong type of credit, they'll sort it out.

Well my Blazblue order has supposedly been shipped! Let's wait and see whether it ever turns up.

I got a shipped email from Game last time they had a price glitch on PSN credit, they later cancelled it that day.

I caught the Blazblue ps4 deal earlier, pretty sure they won't dispatch but here's hoping. I wasnt greedy, just one

DQ Heroes was £29.99 at amazon, now it's on a lightning deal for £27.85 which amazon are proudly declaring is 26% off.

They really need to stop this bullshit. I might complain to Trading Standards that it's deliberately misleading even if it is technically allowed since they sold it at £37 in the last month or whatever.

Oh shit, order dispatched, there's a good chance I may get my £1.51 BlazBlue ChronoPhantasma Extend Limited Edition!

Managed to get an Xbox one copy in time but wanted ps4 to be honest (not that I'm moaning for a penny.) If this does turn up for everyone is there anyone that would prefer the Xbox one version for a ps4 copy?

Reminder: Shipped confirmation from GAME actually just means they've printed a shipping label. Nothing is confirmed until tomorrow morning at the earliest, which is when the first post could possibly be collected.

Is there a precedence for this? Because their order confirmation mail states this:

Acceptance of your order and the formation of a contract between you and us will take place when we send you an email confirming that the products you have ordered are being despatched to you, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have already cancelled it.

Which I basically understand as "they have to deliver the game to me at this point".

I get what you're saying and it's certainly shifty, but do you buy a game because you like the price (or because you can make money on it reselling it to CeX ;-)) or do you buy it because it's a huge discount?

The price, of course, it's just irritating that I've been waiting all day to see what the price was going to be, only for it to drop by £2 while amazon imply that it's dropped by five times that.

I feel like as a customer I could be getting better deals if amazon were forced to advertise them fairly. Like, if they had to advertise that lightning deal as "WOW!!!! 7% OFF!!!!" they would have discounted it further rather than make it clear how shite their discounts really are. Letting them pretend it's a 26% discount means they don't have any need to discount stuff properly because the tiny discounts will always appear good to people who haven't been following the price.

(BlazBlue shipping email get! If I understand it right that means I 100% am getting the game for 1p right with no takesy-backsys?)

Nah, they'll back out of it still if they realise in time.
Same thing happened a while back when they mispriced PSN cards, and it was posted in this very thread. I ordered a ...£25 card I think it was, got the "it's on its way!" email, and, as it turned out, they were not on the way. They stopped most if not all of the orders at the warehouse, but after those emails were sent out.

edit: Yes, after checking, they sent me that exact email. They then two days later sent me a refund email saying
Thank you for returning the following product(s):

PlayStation Network Card - £25 (Accessories)

Your refund of £12.99 has now been processed.

• £12.99 has been refunded to your payment card.
Please allow a few working days for this amount to show up in your account.

I sure as shit didn't return a product two days after it being dispatched, certainly not at half price. They just did that without contacting me at all.

We're not out of the woods yet. Basically you have to hope they put it in the royal mail system before anyone realises what happened.

Ah, okay. I guess we'll see then.

Or, alternatively, they could not drop the price at all until their next lightning deal, all for the purpose of being able to have larger discounts. That's far from ideal as well, because only the happy few would get in.

The best approach is not to expect anything from these lightning deals (and Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals for that matter) imo.

I'd rather miss out on a larger discount than choose not to buy something with a pathetic discount, tbh

But if their T&Cs say one thing and they do another, isn't that kinda...illegal?

Hi guys. Any idea where I can get the cheapest Rodea The Sky Soldier? I'm looking for whatever edition comes with the Wii version of the game. I'm in mainland Europe. Thanks!

Dispatched at GAME basically means they've charged you. Not that it's shipped.

It's why you get dispatch notices on a Tuesday for game releases on a Friday, yet the game still doesn't turn up till the release date.

It's a flaw of their system really, it should just say "Payment Taken - Shipping Soon" instead but I suppose it doesn't matter to them.

Does anyone know if there's a better deal than Base.com's £33 for Xenoblade Chronicles X?

I think it's the same price at Gameseek too (either of these have a better track record for day one releases)?

You can get £15 on some cashback site using Gameseek today, or something. Bit of a faff and you might never get your money if this cashback site is shit but if you're going to Gameseek anyway, you may as well.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I searched for a few places that I usually buy online from though and they're all listed so I might give it a shot.

In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on the Site, We will usually contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed with your order at the correct price. If you are not happy to proceed, or We are unable to obtain your instructions, We will cancel your order and any sum debited by Us from your debit/credit card will be refunded in full to the same card. We will not be obliged to supply products at the incorrect price.

Indeed, they will tell people to get stuffed but...

GAME need to be very careful here. Its a key sales week for online retail and they've not long had the Mario Maker fuck up. Word gets out via social networks they're screwing up with online prices and not honouring, then more people will have reason to stay away from them than normal

They still will not honour the 1p for this reason alone, but I'm intrigued to see how the broach this tomorrow
