Play-Asia says SJWs to blame for DOAX3 not coming west

SJWs are trying to ruin everything. Games, movies, music, literature, art. Fucking fascists.

Not that I would play DOA, but the devs have every right to create what ever they feel like and release it where ever they want to. It's up to the consumers to buy it or not to buy it. These fascist SJWs are now banning the fun from everyone who wanted to play it. Modern nazism. Herd mentality at its finest, goddamn sheep.

Please don't be serious because I'm pretty sure you missed a ton of /s there.

That's an unfortunate byproduct of trauma, yes. I relive the trauma of my dad dying every time Father's Day roles around. Doesn't mean we should do away with Father's Day just cause it "triggers" me. Same thing with jokes and opinions/statements.

Sorry your father's dead. I can imagine that was difficult and still is. I can relate to father's day being a traumatic reminder, but for very different reasons.

Eh....huge threads like these whether on here or on other forums/social media will only get Play-Asia more business, not less. Remember Protein world?

One thing some people miss in this argument from the looks of it is, that in the end, it was still Koei Tecmo who decided not to release it (If that explanation even is the real reason).

While i do heavily disagree with some of the folks in here that want those games to stop existing, because i do think that nudity and sexualization has a place within dedicated eroge games such as DOA, the onus is still on KT.

If you release a piece of art, media or any form of entertainment you make yourself open for criticism and opinions. that is how it always worked and should work. You're then free to either accept those opinions or to just not to.

I would accept the situation and would be flabbergasted as well if it really would've been the critics of the game that made this situation come true by somehow organizing an official, legal ban of the game or something along those lines but as it currently stands, KT is free to release the game whenever they want to, it's selfcensorship and if fans want to blame anyone they would've to blame KT for not standing behind the things they themselfs made in the firstplace.

If, and that's a big if, that even is the real explanation, which i highly doubt tbqh.

There was a huge /S in there. But in all honestly I fail to find anything good in what the SJW-borgs are doing. I'm a musician myself. Our band belongs in a very offensive metal genre, and even there, when our music is underground, the SJWs and good-doers are trying to ban the music style, threatening to burn (and burning down) the venues (happened in Germany few months ago) etc.

That is when it starts to become fascism. Using violence against something you don't like. Pitiful.

EDIT: OT of course, but it is the same people who fights against my music that are fighting against i.e. these "sexist" games. And I consider myself as quite liberal and tolerant person.

If that was sarcasm I'd advice you clearing things up.

You miss the point on you missing the point. Quite an achievement. It is not about we should do away with Father's Day or forbidding words. Its about warning. To use a very example, you can still spoiler, but people appreciate when you will them beforehand you will spoiler. Simple social skills.

Lol it is a point I was making by example, clearly, but I'll summarize and reiterate for you: I used me being triggered by Father's Day as an example of how I find "triggering" to be a silly concept and "trigger warnings" in relation. I don't think you should have to warn anyone about "triggers" because I think the concept of "triggers" and catering to them in this context is silly. Being reminded of traumatic experiences is a horrible byproduct of experience trauma, but demanding or expecting other people to cater to your trauma is unreasonable and could possibly hinder other people. What you call "simple social skills" others might not see the validity in or, even more possible, might think it needs to be said REGARDLESS of what is "societal politeness".

I really wish we didn't get into long dumb arguments with obvious KIA gators.

Maybe if we ignore him he'll go away.

Oh god you said it was sarcasm then you doubled down.

I have a hard time taking seriously anyone who uses the term SJW unironically.

It's fine. It is still difficult, but Father's Day is still a necessary and great holiday for those with fathers to celebrate.

Sorry for whatever reason you may have for it being a traumatic reminder. Hopefully it gets a little easier each time for you.

So, it was sarcasm but also you meant it, got it.

Once again, really slowly: There was. No campaign. Against this game. None whatsoever, not a single article.

I'd love more terrible embarrassing games like Dead or Alive to not ever be released outside of Japan; I guess I am a SJW then??

No, but not wanting others to have a Chance to play something just because you find it embarrassing is rather ridiculous.

You were serious. I'm dumbfounded.

You're just admitting it's a ridiculous belief.

No. I'm admitting I presented it as a joke. Because this is far less confrontational than saying that I do think the DOA series has always been sexist trash, that DOAX3 didn't seem to show any sign of improvement on that front, and that I'm happy it's not gonna see release in the West because it means someone at KT thought better of putting this trash for sale, which is for the best.

The fact that DOAX3 may not see release because of changes in gaming culture is, to me, a sign that gaming culture is improving, which I'm all for.

This topic got weird...er

No, I call it serious when people are trying to sabotage other people just because they're making their art or attacking the people who do not agree with you. That is indeed serious. Violence is serious.

what sabotage? what violence? what on earth are you even talking about

I saw people getting angry about this and I dunno I don't get the outrage I guess. Play-Asia has never done me wrong. This doesn't really have any impact on my opinion of them.

I don't care about the SJW joke to be fair.
My issue is them retweeting mockery and indulging in same mockery of someone who criticised them.

I don't know what else to call these people. We call them hipsters. English speaking media uses SJW. So who knows, I just know what they look like and what they are trying to do in the internet.
Well that's a stretch, isn't it? Other than some internet users and bloggers/youtubers and one Breitbart nutcase I wouldn't exactly say the English media uses the term unironically. Much less on a regular basis.

Violence is serious. But criticism is not violent unless you're being violated in some way

Yeah, I had to run a quick Google search to educate myself too.

SJWs can go set themselves on fire. Someone call me out when I go demented and start spouting shit like those wankers.

You do realize the only people using the term "SJW" unironically have an agenda against even remotely social justice-related, right?

How would they even be able to ban that music style in germany, if they make threats then file a charge and how do you know the part in the edit?

OT: Friend of mine named his band Nailing Alissa or something after the lead singer of another metal band

What does your death metal band have to do with the subject at hand?

Don't you see? It's the secret SJW cabal! They're all in on it, man! The people writing mild articles critiquing sexist depiction of women in games are obviously colluding with those people who set fire to the metal club! FOLLOW THE MONEY, back and to the left

So, clarify, then. What is the offensive metal you're producing, and how are people trying to shut it down? Paint a picture; I'm genuinely curious.

'Cuz what is going on here with DOAX3, which specifically is nobody calling for it to not be released in the West, is definitely not what you're hinting at.

Edit:

Oh. Oooooohhhhhh. Oh.

Okay then, bud. Rock on.

It'd be fascinating if it wasn't so sad. I'd love to see the face of the person while he made that tweet.

I'm sure this has been covered in this rapidly growing thread already, but that specific tweet lines up with Spinal Tap almost perfectly:

https://youtu.be/W3Qn1uHlRIY

The joke in the movie being that the band members are incredibly oblivious, so I don't think this was an intentional reference from their side.
