Would you still buy a NX if nintendo hides the specs again?

I think we all remember the thread's about wiiu gpu, and the crazy predictions, of some of the nintendo tech head's prediction's about wiiu gpu, thinking it's 600-900 gflops, when in reality, it was like 176 gflops, samething kinda happened with the wii. so wiiu owner's would you do it again, buy the next nintendo console with out knowing if its future proof in terms of hardware, because nintendo is too embarrassed to show off the specs.

Specs are towards the bottom of the priority list when it comes to Nintendo for me so yes, however I don't think I'll get one at launch unless there is some real good titles

At this point I would never expect a Nintendo console/system to be at parity with the other contemporary offerings.

So yes.

YES. I play games not specs and they won't hide their games.

Maybe there should be a big NX speculation thread because it's like random surveys popping everywhere.

No because I want to see if it will warrant a purchase over my ps4. I'm not really that into nintendo games any more. I want to know if it can play all the third party games.

It would tough to be a Nintendo fan that really cares about specs at this stage, so I can't imagine caring now.

Specs are not really relevant, games are. Show me games that make me want to buy an NX and I will probably buy one.

Specs don't influence my sales decisions, and I never choose Nintendo consoles for multiplatform games based on relative hardware performance either - only for gameplay and UX improvements.

Not without an abundance of Nintendo games. Wii U launch titles simply will not cut it. Thing needs to be competitive with the third party stuff if not better.

I'd be frustrated because I want Nintendo to get competitive with console power again, but it's never a question if I'm going to buy Nintendo hardware. I want to play their games, especially mainline ones, regardless of the flops.

I'm confused.

Couldn't you like wait a week or two when people get the system, and see how the games look and perform? Wouldn't give you enough of an answer?

No, not this time! Just being Nintendo isn't good enough for me anymore. I'm pretty sure games looking like shit and with virtually no decent online infrastructure isn't gonna wash again. Nintendo need to wake up and get competitive again.

If specs are that much of a concern, then consider getting a PC. This console is likely going to be affordable. The games at launch/launch window will matter more.

Specs don't mean a thing as long as the games look and play great. I'll buy it anyways since I am a slave to Nintendo. While the Wii U was not everything it should have been Nintendo has never completely let me down.

Last electronic device I bought at launch was a DS. Since then I've always waited a bit and NX will be no exception. Got plenty of games to play while they sort out the kinks and bugs and get some more games out.

Buying a console at launch just to have it is silly imo.

Looks at thread - oh, it's a ninjablade thread.

Anyway, if it plays Nintendo games, then there's a pretty good chance I'll buy it. End of story.

I won't be buying it unless it's on par or better than the current consoles.

Don't get me wrong it's the games that matter, but if it is underpowered then third parties will avoid it like the plague and it will just be an exclusive only machine, something that didn't do the Wii U a lot of good.
