I'm just happy Naughty Dog is representing minorities at all!
It's a step in the right direction and she seems like an awesome character.
But to suggest white people and black people can't play each other, isn't that inherently racist? Especially in videogames where you could be anyone.
If you're right for the role, I really don't give a damn what you look like.

Looks pretty incredible. As for the supposed controversy... jesus christ. The only racism going on here is people debating nonsense. If the actor fits the role so be it. It's apparently racist to use James Earl Jones' voice for Darth Vader cos he's the bad guy (even though the character clearly is white). Now it's racist to feature a black character but voiced by a white person. Who effin' cares. Enough of this bullshit concern nonsense. If the character was throwing out ridiculous caricatured language (think Jar Jar Binks) then aye maybe there would be need for concern. This all smacks of white people trying too hard to be PC, I don't think anyone else cares.

I hope this mean they have new melee combat mechanic. I mean, the one on previous Uncharted are fine for a shooter, but it didn't really have the complexity for a proper one on one boss fight. if it had something like MGS4 Ocelot battle, that'd be rad as hell.

Looks amazing. I don't get why everything has to be a big issue. Black VAs have played white characters, white have voiced black,. It's voice acting, if you are talented enough those playing or watching will be none the wiser. So hire what fits your needs.

Yeah I guess you're right, it's a pretty watered-down accent despite Claudia Black being Australian. I get thrown for a loop when I here an actual, blatant Australian accent in game or film and never experienced that in U2/3.

When you have such goddamn detailed character models, even slightly off lip syncing makes it go into uncanny valley.

I think ND had a better balance in TLOU with stylized realistic faces where the lip syncing looked very good.

What the fuck happened in this thread? We got an awesome trailer which introduces a new character and some people start complaining about racism? Seriously?!

Anyway, this footage looks incredible. The lighting and character models are definitely among the best in the industry right now. Almost looks like a CGI movie at times IMO. Damn, can't wait for PSX for a new trailer. My only complaint is that it's only a minute long of new footage. I know they wanna keep us waiting, but a little longer would be nice. Aside from that, easily my second favorite part of the show.
