Now that Lionsgate is jumping on the Steam train, I'd say there is a good chance that Brooklyn will show up once it's due to hit streaming services. I'm tempted to skip its theatrical run just for the possibility of being able to watch it for the first time on Steam.

Apps have multiple packages and many are those of released games.

So, the ~3k list is all the stuff after filtering duplicates and released games? Because there's still stuff like that like CoH2 DLCs etc.

Conslusion is that these games were at one point trying to go on steam or are going to be on steam.

Helldivers is literally releasing tomorrow. That puts games like Everyone's Gone to the Rapture back on to the table, in all likelihood.

FFX's "sony status" i'm fairly certain has always just been fanwank and guessing.

I'm fairly certain the popular belief that the PS2 Final Fantasy games can't release on other platforms because Sony was involved is a 2+2=5 thing, i.e. "They're not on other platforms, therefore they're wholly exclusive to Sony platforms due to Sony's involvement." To the best of my knowledge, there has been absolutely nothing else to indicate they're, in part, Sony products.

There was a time where people thought bump mapping and specular highlights in RE4 weren't in any version except the Gamecube's because it was some proprietary implementation. That is until someone asked QLOC about it and they enabled it in a beta patch.

Often times, these things are based on assumptions and hearsay.

Well, Kingdom Hearts Collections did have the use of a proprietary Sony format on the cutscenes (SBMV, aka "Super Bit Mapping for Video").

It's generally believed that FFX and X-2 were in a similar situation.

I dunno. I've played most of 'em, and have Quest for Infamy (more like Quest for Working Steam Achievements) on Steam already.

I'm tempted to double-dip on Quest for Glory 1-5...but geez, my backlog is already crying.

After Helldivers I don't see why Rapture wouldn't come over. Journey might be a little harder.


Regardless, the majority of the games listed will come out, and the inclusion of the games on the database is a 90% indication that the game listed had a PC port started or planned at some point.
