mediator creates a reshade.fx junction (link) in the folder where the exe is? You could manually install reshade, I don't think it needs the exe, it needs the injector dll to be present (reshade32/64.dll) and named as a file loaded by the .exe, e.g. d3d11.dll. If that dll is in the exe folder, windows will load that dll instead of the one in the windows\system32 folder, hence it works
If you click 'push permanently to application' (or whatever it's called) in mediator, the button at the bottom, mediator replaces the junction (link) of reshade.fx in the exe folder with a real reshade.fx and copies the Reshade folder with the actual shaders/config files too.

Are you describing a way how to install the Mediator version of ReShade so it's working?
I did put everything in the bin folder (using an older non mediator ReShade version) but that's not where the exe is and it works but I don't know why. Where the actual exe is there I can't put anything, nothing happens.
I don't really understand the structure of the mediator ReShade version... can you still manually turn on effects and edit them as you could do with the older ReShade versions using notepad or is the mediator neccessary to change stuff?

Maldo! Hey thanks man, wow, you're absolutely right, I'm using 3.0b but you know it took me half a day just to find this version on the net because version 4.0 on your site where I had to download it in parts from one of the mirrors kept timing out

If you find it dude let me know please. The only link that works for me and doesn't alert google or windows edge as being malware is the actual mirror on Maldo's site, however download rules are one file every 3 hrs so I'll just have to deal with it and do it over the next few days.

Quick question: I use the debug console mod to have freecam in the witcher 3 using F1, but that disables the in-game DoF for far objects (so I had to write my own to get that back), but I see you have DoF in your second picture. If the mod is nowhere to be found I still have version 4.0 on my external HDD, I could upload it if Maldo doesn't mind.
How did you get STLM to work with patch 1.11? I've tried the modded 1.0.4 version which should work on 1.11 but I always get script errors...

I can understand that being depressing. I'm finding that it randomly, but frequently, crashes on a reload. Which on top of the constant reloading due to dying is starting to take it's toll. I think the mixture of tools I'm using to screenshoot isn't helping either. =P
I might just play it through, saving key points I want to come back to for when I have more patience.
