Alright, I'm on the train. The only thing he needs to work on is his takedown defense and he should be the reigning champ for a long time.

Good shit McGregor.

No excuses Aldo.

Anyone have a gif of Dana White looking extremely salty after putting the belt on McGregor? He was clearly pissed it ended so fast.

Cause you can't be respectful with personallity? Can't be a great champion or great fighter with personallity without being a bitch? Charisma comes from insulting, taking belts from tables, yelling like a kid and flipping off people? Get the fuck out peter pan.

Being a big mouth and acting like a bitch sells tickets, what's new?! I'll still be waiting for a rematch that will be a actual fight. Any clean punch can knock the fuck out anyone, that's no news. It's been there from the very first day. Let him do that a second time against Aldo and I'll have nothing to add but once in 13 seconds? Yeah that's more luck than anything.

It's definitely not red panty night round yours.

Come on, even the haters have to admit that will go down as one of the most memorable moments in the history of the sport.

After all the talking.

The postponed fight.

The hype about Aldo's kicking.

ALL THE CHAT of McGregor is all mouth, he would need to fight someone of note, actually someone in the top ten, alright the top five, I mean he will never beat Aldo.

The McGregor fans are allowed this one.

"Go and get your fucking shinebox!"

You forgot the gem about Aldo calling the Brazilian cops on the USADA drug tester and getting him arrested and the samples dumped out. And Aldo's Brazilian drug tester taking selfies w/ Aldo and getting autographs.

All these people saying McGregor's KO doesn't mean anything.

Well fuck, if Aldo was such a great champion, he shouldn't have went charging in guns blazing. Connor was right, that was an incredibly amateur move.

Aldo believed his trainers hype (check the latest embedded, where they were saying he would knock McGregor out with the first punch)

No chance in hell Frankie is getting his fight.

Yeah. I mean, I am disappointed in Aldo losing or, in the very least, losing so quickly (would have at least liked an actual fight testing Connor more than Mendes did on his two week notice). But this, this right here is the saddest part: no way White is giving Connor to Edgar.

Also, very disappointed at Weidman. Why the hell did he try to throw "Sweet Chin Music" and especially without tuning up the band?

It's unrespectful as fuck and It's classless. Makes the sport looks like a circus show. Should I like it because it speaks to the rednecks, casuals and wwe lovers alike?

It's a sport of people punching and kicking each other with the intention of them no longer being able to stand under their own power.

if connor beats frankie, and aldo again I'll be a fan of his

I'm still shook though haven't felt this way since silva lost, [so glad rockhold won] since ronda lost, [so glad holly won] and I wasn't even a fan of aldo

man a whole year for 13 seconds

Lol. Trash talking exists in pretty all sports. Get over it.

Why jump to the conclusion that I'm solely talking about Conor though? Shouldn't it be understandable that I'm making my case right now because Conor did win tonight? Of course I'm gonna talk about Conor tonight, but why would it mean that I don't have the same point of view via everyone else that acts this way?

Herb Dean is known for ending fights prematurely so it's good he didn't for once.

He's known for it, sure, but he also occasionally lets people get beaten half to death. I told someone else the same thing. This is par for the course. The guy fails consistently to make intelligent stoppages. He's constantly either ending fights wildly prematurely, or endangering the health of the fighters. He's done both of those things a lot. He needs to just be removed as a ref.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

What Conor did was a perfectly executed strike, hitting his opponent in just the right spot as he was swinging which is the worst time to get hit.

Comparing Aldo's punch to Conor's in that moment leaves a gigantic gap in the skill used to set up and throw them.

looks like a basic counter punch and i dont think you need elite mma skills to pull off.

Rematch has to happen now but for how long do we wait? Hopefully not til next frickin summer!

I'd like to think they do it for UFC200 at the same time that rematch with Ronda is big enough to carry it on its own.

Maybe they go for that Cowboy Stadium now lol

Marc Goddard should be moved up. Herb has been terrible for years.

Welcome beautful toddler, Madison Elizabeth, to the horde!
Outside of Jon Jones, I'm going to start picking the person that has better boxing skills. Seriously, if they can stop a takedown and are official with the fists, then I'm picking them. Aldo came in charging like my uncoordinated ass would.

Also, you're perhaps overlooking the fact that all the trash talking and build-up from Conor contributed to Aldo rushing in like an amateur.

Maybe Aldo was beat before he entered the octagon. Maybe he was beat when Conor went to Brazil and told him he was going to die.

Being a champion is about mentality as much as ability.

It is, but what does that say about Aldo?

Says he got caught. Happens even to the best.

All these hyped champs going down is just making him look that much more impressive.

Jose looked shook, didn't peg him as a guy to crack

He was never really one to soak up the limelight. This fight was huge -- the most heavily promoted he's ever been a part of and it was a long road to get to it. I think it got to him.

Didn't Dana say long before this fight when people where asking for the fight to be in Dublin "Title shot in U.S. If he wins we then consider a rematch in Crooke park(Dublin)"

Dana has been waiting years to get this belt off Aldo. The guy is constantly hurt, badmouths the organization and doesn't draw flies.

He gets knocked out by the biggest star they've ever had and you think a rematch is happening? No.

Aldo's probably moving to 155 anyway.

Frankie will get it first. As much as the UFC wants the rematch, they will give Frankie the title fight in anticipation that he will lose to mcgregor and then set up the rematch.

Is Conor really going to stay in the featherweight division? Seems like he should think of moving to 155.

Said in his next 2 fights he will be 2 weight world champion, that's this one and a lightweight title fight. Is it possible to hold 2 weight division belts in the UFC?
