The issue is that the save is from 2011 and back then the game didn't autosave after talking to Letho at the end of the game. If you import a save from before you talk to him the game will assume you
killed

So I installed TW2 again and loaded my save again... But there's a bug that prevents me from talking to Letho. I read online and apparently it's an incompatibility between the enhanced edition and older saves... I don't have any older saves either.

This is pretty frustrating, I want him
to live
he's a pretty cool guy. Anyone's got any suggestions on how to fix this? :/

Someone will ask you if you let Letho lived or not. Say he lived and hell be in W3. Even without importing your save.

If you don't tell her to stay, she still comes back when you go to Kaer Morhen.

So does mostly everyone really recommend turning off the "?" points of interest so encourage more freedom of exploring? I'm finding I'm pretty much just bee-lining to a "?", then the next, etc. unless I see something a long the way.

Yes, you're better off turning off the "?" points of interest. Any of the gear (Be it armor or sword) you get from them are practically useless compared to the Witcher sets.

IMO, stumbling those points of interests while exploring them instead of following them one by one makes it a better experience.

Thanks. Do you know what the point of no return is before the game officially marks you down for romancing Triss? I'm assuming it's at the point you tell her you love her and get down to business in the lighthouse?

I'm invested in the series so I really like roleplaying as Geralt. Him and Triss have history, so I want play as if Geralt still has some attachment to her but ultimately decides to stay with Yen.

Was wandering around the woods and found a cave. I went inside and explored with a torch, whole thing was amazing. Found a set of Witcher gear inside too but I can't use it until I'm level 30 (currently level 4).

Also, I have no idea what I'm doing in Gwent.

I just finished reading The Lady of the Lake yesterday and I'm building a new PC today (I actually had to stop writing this post to receive a delivery for some parts haha) so I'll be all ready to play the game soon :p

Enjoy that moment. I bought TW3 when it came out, but my GTX670 and my ancient system wasn't as powerful as I would have wanted it. So I put aside for a couple of months, bought my entire new rig about a month ago with a GTX980ti, installed TW3 and went for 4K. God, the wait was just so rewarding.

I am stunned by this game. It was on my shelf for more than 2 months and while I was playing other games, I didn't even realize I had this gem. As year comes to an end, I wanted to play a couple more games to finalize my GotY picks and damn, after ~5 hours I can safely say that it is in my Top 3, hell, Top 2 (competing only with Rocket League). Oh my. Also Fallout 4 doesn't stand a chance (I spent more than 120hrs with it)

Awesome to hear that! If you feel that way after only putting in so little in it, you're in for one of the best gaming experiences. The first 5 hours are nothing compared to later parts in the game.

Be sure to get the Hearts of Stone expansion too.

Question about quest ' Broken Flowers'


Anyone else find the horse race with that guy( forgot his name) easy, and when you defeat him he gives you really good saddle

I was expecting the race to be harder to be honest

Turn off POI's and the mini-map dot guide and just roam. You must be in Novigrad. That part is really weird coming off the expanse of Velen. There's actually a lot of farmland to the east of it, go explore out there.

I assume this is an annoyingly common question in this thread but any idea for the pc enhanced edition release date? Or is it even happening? I assume we can still count on it being free for people who have purchased the game earlier?

I find Novigrad to be amazing, this is probably my favorite city in any game yet.
It's so well realised.

All the horseraces are way too easy. It does make it quite dull. When your horse runs out of stamina the competitors also slow down.

I've spent my Christmas holidays exploring the Skellige Isles. I honestly don't want to leave but now the main quest calls me. I have one lead.

Skellige is a magical place, so beautiful.

You are reaching an important point, but the story is hardly over. Enjoy it while it lasts. :)

I'm glad to hear the main story still has a way to go. I'm going to concentrate on it for a bit (and definitely enjoy it while I can!).

The Skellige Isles are a wonderful creation. At times I simply took Roach (kitted out in his glorious Undvik saddle) for an aimless wander and drank in the atmosphere. So good.

I still haven't reached that area, but I have some quests that require me to go there!

What a game. Can't wait to see the change of scenery.

Has there been an estimate on when Blood & Wine will be released? It says 'coming soon' in the ingame menu, but what's coming soon? Still a matter of months I suppose? 3-4-5 months?

"Hearts of Stone was released on October 13, 2015, and Blood and Wine is expected to be released in early 2016"

From Wikipedia, so nothing super concrete

That is correct. They've been rather substantial.

The Witcher 1 (200+ new animations, more NPCs, redone localization, more dialogue, bug fixes, load times reduced 80%)

The Witcher 2 (new quests, cutscenes, new intro/outro CG, transitional cinematics after each chapter, 100+ bug fixes, Dolby support added)

i'm not getting my hopes up for a 3rd expansion. i'm not sure about there being an EE though. wouldn't that mean they'd need to give away both expansions for free? i suppose if there is a studio that does this then it'd be CDPR but i'm not expect it to happen.

i'd be happy with small DLC like the free ones we got after release.

By that logic you could say GOTY editions give away DLC for free. I'm sure that if they release an EE it's priced similarly to GOTY editions.

I stopped playing after reaching the Bloody Baron when the game came out, for no reason really. I guess I just wasn't in the mood because I'm playing again and loving it.

How does the DLC work with the main game? is it a separate quest line you can access at any time, or something you should do after finishing the main story?

I'm Level 9 -- is it a good idea for me to hunt for the Griffin Set so that hopefully soon when I am 11 I can wear it? Is it the best gear set around my level?
