How can Final Fantasy X | X-2 be on both PS3 and PS4 first, but FFIX debuts on Steam earlier?

Either way, excited for both!

No Encounter as well. Good to hear. I bet one of the achievements is Excalibur 2 so these cheats can make it less of a nuisance to get.

Hope it's a good port. Glad they are putting in a speed up mode. I've played IX a year or 2 ago but don't really remember much about its weird side quests. I played vii recently, does it have side stuff that is similar to that? To get those achievements I did probably 10 hours of grinding at the end of 7. Does 9 do that, are there super bosses?

I really want this but I'll probably just wait for the PS4 version, there will be one right? Is VIII even on PS4 yet for that matter?

YES! This game has haunted my backlog for over a decade because of the damn encounter rate. I will absolutely be getting this so I can finally complete my love for arguably the best entry in the series.

There's one superboss, and it's hard as shit.

I'm in, but only if it can be played offline indefinitely. No more of that "Steam Cloud required" crap.

Considering how well FF7 seems to have done it wouldn't be all too surprising.

As far as I can tell, their goal is to bring all the Final Fantasy games to PS4, PC, and iOS/Android.

Of course the last one might take a while given they shut down the streaming service you could use to play Final Fantasy XIII on mobile.

The order in which they arrive to various platforms seems to vary based on their scheduling plans and where it's easiest to port them to first.

Maybe this will be the point at which I start trying out final fantasy games. I have no idea where to start with them. I gave up on bothering with 7 since it was spoiled for me and that turned me off wanting to try. I have 13 but haven't got round to it, and know that it isn't considered a great place to start

It's really irrelevant which game you use to start. They have no ties at all. Not even by gameplay, nowadays.

IX is the best. If you don't like it, you'll know FF isn't for you. If you do, you can try VI and some of the older ones since that's where it draws its inspirations from (and stop cuz every other post-SNES FF isn't that good).

Hrm. I want to be stoked it's coming so soon, but part of me is worried at the quick turnaround time on this, even knowing that the date of the announcement has no bearing on when they started working on it.

Please, Square-Enix. Don't screw this game up on PC. It's one of the best experiences I've had in gaming.

Oh, yeah! January is looking amazing. I think I made the right choice this gen.

... by staying a PC gamer for all of my 27 years :p

Is it going to require a Squre-Enix account? Will it have borked music? Why is it 1/5 the size of GTA5?

These are the things I need to know.

I mean, you could've played this game 15 years ago if you hadn't, but I'm not looking to get into a debate... just pointing out the obvious.

The announcement was pretty quickly and for this month as well, most of here estimated February or March the soonest.
Been ages I've played it, guess I will replay it with this release.

No window store, no buy. I've been spoilt with the fact "I can play now my favourite games without the use of Steam", can't go back now.

Lol, I'm only joking around. I may get it later in the future. I heard this FF is actually the best one, is that true?
