Wow, this game has not aged well visually. Yikes, I don't remember it looking this bad? It's one of my favorite Zeldas too.

Really hope there's a version with the amiibo, not interested in that plastic junk, especially for $79.99 plus tax.

I love the game and it's great that Nintendo is releasing it again, but... I don't know. I think this is the kind of game that actually looks better when graphics are a little blurred. It's not a nostalgia thing: I played TP for the first time two years ago and had no problem with the low res graphics, but the graphics in the HD version looks a bit lifeless to me.

The original versions weren't exactly known for their restraint when it came to bloom lighting. For better and worse, it's an inherent aspect of the game's visual identity.

Yeah, cel-shaded games are timeless, WW already looked good in 1080p (Dolphin) before the remake.

It was obvious ages ago that it wasn't as remade as Wind Waker.

It's basically HD with redone textures and that's about it.

I'm tempted to buy just to have all the series on Wii U and 3DS but I don't know if the upgrade warrants the full price tag, better textures are nice but it doesn't seem a huge improvement over the original.

It is the only game I tried to play on the Wii U that the visuals were so rough I couldn't bring myself to get past the first couple hours. Its a pretty hideous mix of elements and has aged worse than any Zelda. I was so excited when I heard about the remaster but this looks just as god awful as I remember.

They should've waited to release this on a later console with a larger install base if they wanted to pull any smart business moves. They blew yet another Zelda remake on a horribly selling console that can already play the original version.

What on earth. They've actually also removed lighting from this game. There's no contours around her face/eyes...

Honestly, this'll probably be the first Zelda I won't be buying in a long time. Ask me a year ago about the possibly of TPHD and I'd be so excited. Imagining a big new lighting system and such. The new HD textures look nice, and I don't hate TPs artstyle like some, but it just doesn't feel substantial enough of an upgrade.

I haven't played all Zelda games. I don't know if the game is good or bad. I would like to play this someday. Wind Waker HD was great and gorgeous.

Meanwhile, this game... ugly as hell. I don't understand why Nintendo considers this remaster something good to celebrate Zelda's 25th anniversary, when they could have given us the same game looking like this:

i played about a quester of the way through this on the Wii. I'm looking forward to playing it properly but was wondering - Wind Waker HD had some gameplay tweaks.

For this that have played the original what gameplay tweaks could they implement to make it a better game?
