Reheat or eat it cold?

Cold? No way.
Room temperature? Acceptable.
Warm? Always.

(and don't get me started on hot, my food has to rest for a minute or two so I can put it in my mouth without withstanding gruesome pain)
 
I'm ok with eating most food at room temperature.
I don't know how anyone can eat stuff like chicken, turkey, or ham cold. That slime build up is nasty.

Yeah.

It's basically a catch-all name for pizzas served with eggs and breakfast meats,usually cooked in maple.

It can have different styled eggs, tomatoes, chives, or parsley if you want.

Scrambled eggs with sausage:

It's the only way eggs taste good cold.

And with maple, do you mean meat cooked in sweet maple syrup? Good lord...
 
Mind you, a lot of things are extremely dangerous to eat if you let them sit out for many hours at room temp. Rice apparently starts breeding various bacteria practically as soon as it's not boiling hot and can have enough to cause serious GI upset or illness if you don't get back to it until morning. And by illness I mean the kill you type.

While I agree with your statement about microwaving, I'm conflicted on this one. Don't think I've ever enjoyed cold french fries sober.

It's pretty much a lose-lose situation either way, but cold fries have a hint of their original taste before the microwave nukes them.

Cold pizza, cold fried chicken, cold meatloaf. Cold meatloaf sammich is the best.

I'll happily eat all of them warm, but I also like them cold.

Also, cold cake is the bomb.

I reheat most things. I'll eat fried chicken cold, though.

Pizza I usually leave sitting out and I'll finish it off a day or two later without reheating if it's room temperature. I'm probably dying.

Most meats, I eat cold if I'm lazy or don't want bad microwave heating. Any pasta with a good amount of cheese in it. Pizza can be better cold than microwaved.

Non fried fish needs to be reheated.

Fries need to be trashed.

I'm with you op. Cold is great.

Eating chicken cold is a fairly bad idea. Not as bad as rice, but pretty bad. You should be reheating that shit. Or you might get real sick. Not a high chance, but a chance.

Everything else? Fair game.

Pizza especially is awesome cold. Lasagna's pretty great.

It depends on the dish - I make a lot of vegetable-only stews, and those are pretty bland cold, so I almost always fry the leftovers back up, maybe chuck in some meat/meat substitute.

It's still just a probability. You can eat cold/room temp rice once a week for your whole life and still be OK.

But it only takes one time for some deadly bacteria to grow on rice and do some bad shit to your body.

Basically uncooked rice has a shell around it which protects it. You cook rice, and that shell melts away, leaving a juicy, soft, moist lump of hot carbs. Once rice cools down, that's the environment bacteria love the most.

From your list I would heat up the lasagna.
Kebabs, pizzas and curries should probably be het up too.

Fried chicken or meat can be eaten cold.

Though I remember a rumour that cold fries are healthier for you since they do not cause such a high glycemic spike; the starch in cold fries congeals into a slower-absorbed form which is metabolysed more evenly than that in hot fries. Or something like that.

I reheat pizza in the oven on gas mark 3 (really low) for about 5 - 7 minutes, it's almost as good as fresh. After doing it like this you'll never use the microwave ever again.

Leftovers do not deserve the microwave treatment.

I'll eat pretty much any left over takeaway cold the next day. Chinese, pizza, Indian, doesn't matter. Straight from the fridge.
 
Next day boiled potatoes are god like cold with a pinch of salt. Otherwise, re heat everything, especially if I can see the fat separating already!

Pizza and wings I'll eat cold if I'm just munching them out of the fridge (usually while drunk or with a hangover), otherwise I reheat.

Ok, so now to venture outside what most people might consider the norm, I also like to eat the following foods cold on occasion:
- fried/baked chicken
- lasagna
- meatloaf
- marinated meats such as steak tips

You,re me. o_O
In addition to that I'll eat all bakes/ casseroles cold the next day and they taste always better that way.

Probably true - it's the taste/texture I can't stand!

Once they go cold they taste of nothing but feel like sticks of hardened glue in your mouth.
 
Pork sausages are amazing when they're cold. I reheat most otherwise, exception of stuff that can be put on sandwiches, like a roast that's been sliced up or chicken that I'll slice up and mix with mayo to make chicken & mayo sandwich.

I tend to reheat most cooked things instead of eating them cold. I like my hot foods to be hot when I ingest them a second time. Even pizza, though that can be pretty good with the right pizza.

- fried/baked chicken
- lasagna
- meatloaf
- marinated meats such as steak tips

Anyone else share my desire, and if so which foods??

-Actually great. Put that on a deli roll with some Swiss cheese or some Provolone.
 
I eat plenty of leftovers cold, like pizza. If I do need to reheat something, I usually put it into the oven or a non-stick pan. Microwave ovens tend to destroy the texture of food and turn it into a soft, soggy mess. Fuck microwave ovens.
 
Straight meats like Turkey, Roast Beef, Ham are fine cold if in the form of a sandwich or salad, same with an egg salad, but come on, Lasagna? Get out of here with that.
