April, sadly. No idea about why such a delay though.

I don't like the idea of "oh hey I liked awakening so I should get birthright because it's more of that".
I'd hope some of you are "brave" enough to venture into conquest because you honestly might enjoy going into more difficult, or at least, more varied objectives.
Birthright
I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting 9+ scores.

This you should definitely give Conquest a try at the very least.
And you should start the game at a higher difficulty to test the waters before deciding if the game is too difficult since there is an option to change difficulty mid-game.
If you want more Awakening, you can definitely fill that with Conquest and Revelation.

Yeah, this is kind of a weird one. In a way I'm glad different reviewers are getting them, but it's also weird you don't get the direct compare and contrast from the same person. On the other hand though if the same person had to do all 3 I could very easily seem them getting burnt out and that could affect the reviews of the 2nd and 3rd game. Not sure there's a single great answer here other than if you care about reviews you should check out multiple reviews, but you should already be doing that anyway lol.
IIRC, didn't someone say the DLC maps will be grindable, even in Conquest?
I think March 10 or 11When does revelation come out for those who missed the CE?
Getting even more excited after reading seeing these scores.
Yes.IIRC, didn't someone say the DLC maps will be grindable, even in Conquest?

I'm playing birthright first then conquest then revelations. I like the designs of birthright's cast more and I figure playing the easier game first will serve as a nice warm up. Planning on hard classic for all 3 though
Fire Emblem Fates is the best Nintendo 3DS game of 2016, so far, and itll be hard for anything releasing this year to beat it. The story alone makes this a must-own game that can rival any console game and the visuals are stunning for a handheld system.

Well, that's what I did read from Gamekult (French VG site with a good reputation), last time I searched for informations, somewhere in January. Now I had no idea there was something about the EU release date.Since when does the EU have a release date?!

Yes but the way the grinding works in this game compared to Awakening is that grinding gets incrementally more difficult in the DLC.
You can definitely get completely fucked over in it and the gains aren't that great if you don't know what you're doing. You can still break the game with EXP DLC, but in this game the grinding and game breaking is the form of My Castle Visits and using Gold to buy skills from other units.
It isn't worth it to grind with DLC since skills are more useful and less time consuming. Not that skill grinding is recommended because it breaks the game balance.
If the reviews are cumulative or by game, separate them so it's easier to add to the OP. Thanks for providing these.
But does that affect grinding for supports too? I guess some people are going to buy some DLC maps to grind supports between units and the EXP and GLD are going to be their little bonus =PYes but the way the grinding works in this game compared to Awakening is that grinding gets incrementally more difficult in the DLC.

I'm pretty experienced with FE so I look forward to it.Good luck with Hard Conquest Classic, from what I hear.

I really can't understand how you can find the story great
You can get experience from the experience grinding DLC, but at least in the Japanese version that was the only DLC map that gave extra experience for Conquest. The others could only be used for their item drops or support points. Your units wouldn't get experience.

I wonder if I'll be able to pull off anything as crazy as my 1 turn hard mode final boss kill in awakening, though since I think gale force is dlc only I doubt it
Different tastes.

Buy Birthtright. Then the other two are DLC at $20 each, and each is about the length of a full game. Separate save files for each.

I think that's kind of the idea of splitting up here. Birthright can easy you into the gameplay with what you're comfortable with and then Conquest can bridge you to what the series veterans' also enjoy.
Just note, the dlc exp map is not as broken as it was in awakening, i watched someone play it and it seemed very very minimal for gains. They were playing conquest ... they tried grinding for an early chapter
All battles help improve support rank and bonuses. You can find supports as long as it is a battle. Not all battles provide EXP outside the story, especially on Conquest. But does that affect grinding for supports too? I guess some people are going to buy some DLC maps to grind supports between units and the EXP and GLD are going to be their little bonus =P
Already played it?
I'm personally wondering if Conquest is worth it for me, cause I'm not really interested in challenging gameplay. FE:A on easy was fun and I can't say I like not being able to grind.
I am gonna play Birthright and Revelations at the very least whenever they come out in Europe, just trying to decide of Conquest is worth it just for the story content. Would probably play it on the phoenix mode someone mentioned, where no one ever really dies or something lol.
you can one turn the final chapter in Birthright/Conquest, Revelation is probably impossible but who knows
(Awakening's is also one of the easiest to 1 turn)
Gold map is pretty important (Skills Skills Skills).
Treehouse probably changed alot of it, it's not the first time they've done it.
