No they didn't, I was watching it live. At the end they said they had a special announcement and that Dragon Quest X and XI would be on NX. There was no hinting it was blatantly said if you understood Japanese. It also wasn't a leak or a surprise as Saitou was reading from the schedule.

If TPC is willing to split up a generation like that. Then again if this really is gen 7 (please no), for all we know it might not even have a third version/remakes.

Maybe this is a game that takes place in Kanto, but with an all new regional dex and after GS or something.
It might be ok if it's cross platform with NX and they market the NX version more heavily.
Though I doubt both of those things.
