Caviar has been used for Pokémon Rumble titles, so Caviar F is likely Rumble World's retail release.

Cadillac has been used for Style Savvy / Style Boutique titles, so that's likely the localization of NSB2.

Stars is used for Mario Party games, so it's likely N-Stars is a Mario Party title.

DMW was used for Disney Magical World, so DMW2 makes sense for a direct sequel or a Disney Art Academy.

Torte City and Niji don't directly relate to anything that I can find.

EDIT: Prediction time on the N-Stars title. It's a Mario Party amiibo game. N referring to NVL, the three-letter identifier for amiibo.

Isn't Pokemon Rumble World getting a retail release in America soon? Lmao

Also, I said this in the other thread, but the Niji codename may be a pun on Ni-Ju, which is Japanese for 20 (As in the 20th anniversary). It likely means nothing though, since we know it's a Pokemon game.

That's probably spot-on.

Then it wouldn't be under a code name or during the summer.

Rumble World wasn't confirmed for a retail release in America until last Thursday. So depending on when he was supposedly given the info, or if the list hadn't been updated yet, it would make sense.

Besides, Rumble World is also a physical release yet isn't listed here by name, and Caviar F is actually placed under Spring-Summer on Trev's list.

It's listed as "spring-early summer", not just summer, and they aren't in order of release (within each season).

What he said.

Since Rumble World was a F2P game that was already released and this is just a retail version of that, it might be viewed as a re-release and not on the list. Trev didn't mention Bayonetta 2's re-release either when talking about Wii U video games in the video where all this news broke.

I am so fucking ready for some more Mario Party.

Mario Party Island Tour and Mario Party 10 are still played at least on a biweekly period for the girlfriend and I.

The Wii U news was that there was only one new unannounced Wii U game. There was no marketing list like the 3DS had.

If you see immnewnity's post above, though, evidently this is a code name they've used for Rumble World before. (Unsure if that poster has a link related to that or has their own inside info.)

ETA: the door is still open for Torte City to be RH or Picross, but that could just as easily be something brand new and those two could be eShop only.

Do you have any idea what the other Rhythm Heaven and Picross games are codenamed? Could one of those be Torte City?
If not then my Japanese 3DS import gets more justified :)

I've been compiling a page for a few years from a bunch of resources (mostly press sites) here: http://www.pidgi.net/press/codenames/

I know, self-sourcing, but it's the best I can do!

I haven't played any Mario Party game since DS, but Nd Cube doesn't really have a good track record with these games, do they?

I can't speak for 9, but 10 is a blast, especially in Bowser Party mode if you have a group that are into it, and Island Tour is fine in small bursts.

Nice list, immewnity!
Mario Party might be transmogrifying into Non-Specific Nintendo Party then.
Play as miis or anyone you have an amiibo for. Or something.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
For those who still doubt Picross 3D is coming anyway, did everyone here forget it's already rated by USK (German rating board) as Picross 3D: Round 2? Europe is definitely getting it, and I suppose US too, don't see why it shoudn't. I'm starting to believe Picross is eShop only, while Torte City maybe is Rhythm Heaven after all, even with the "unannounced" moniker before it? Or maybe it's a Kirby game, something I'm more or less expecting to be honest, and RH is download only too.

Hmm not buying most of what was said here but we'll see.

Mario Party games on consoles are already shit, the handheld versions make them even worse. Island Tour was one of the worst Nintendo games I've ever played.

And where's Rhythm Heaven? Detective Pikachu? MHX? smh at this list.

Yup.

Mario Party 10 has been played out, but she loves the minigames in Island Tour. We usually do a board once a week before go to bed. Really wish more titles would utilize download play.

Detective Pikachu is digital only and Rhythm Heaven likely is as well. As for MHX, why would a Capcom title be on Nintendo's release list?

I am looking forward to Federation Force. I do like Metroid, and I really want to play another title, aaand there really is no reason for FF to be a Metroid game, but still. I like what I've seen, and Next Level Games is doing great things while working with Nintendo.

Just a note to people, and especially blogs, reading this: when we "verify" sources, what we do is get a name to the source and verify that they are in a position that could plausibly know the things that they say they know. We do not verify what they're claiming, just that they are theoretically in a place to be claiming the things they are.

Do you verify that the person claiming things also has been in contact with the actual source and don't just know a name of a person and give it to you?

Both videos that Trev posted on his YouTube channel and his website have been pulled down, along with the release info and marketing budget. Makes you wonder why it was taken down unless the leak was real and Nintendo didn't want it known.

I just noticed that too.

Maybe Nintendo came down on him and his source like hellfire and brimstone.

Maybe he found out that his source was fooling him.

Either way I still don't have the NX in my hands damnit.

He removed the articles too.

Also, Trev, about your new article...no, pls, ******** numbers no pls, they're completely unreliable XD

I like how you can't even mention it.

After seeing how Disney Art Academy is real and that Cadillac F is the new Style Savvy (confirmed by another user), I wouldn't say it's his sourc fooling him.

I suppose.

God damnit he gave me a special thanks in one of the articles he took down. Now my fame and glory days are gone.

I also noticed another video of his was removed from his YouTube channel and website. It was titled, "Nintendo NX - Insider Dev Kit & Engine Support Info". If anyone remembers, it was a different source that revealed UE4 and Unity as being supported right out of the gate on the NX. It also mentioned that some key partners have dev kits and SDK's.

Yeah, that too.
I'd like to hear from Trev himself what actually happened, maybe NDAs really caught them (Trev and the sources) up, or this is his own attempt to protect them. Heck, he removed the FF video too, the uncertain one.

Hmm...I'm going to echo everyone else and hope that Trev is okay. If you can, please give us an update, Trevelyan9999, on what happened.

The problem with this is that is kind of pointless to use old codenames and add a word or letter to it and pretend its still a codename, people would just make the connection if that was the case.

For localizations it makes sense (Like Style Savvy), but for sequels? it would be kind of silly.

Have mercy on them Nintendo. They merely wanted to bring the gift of hype to our boring, hollow lives.

Would Trev get in trouble? He's not a dev or nintendo employee.
