so? WELL A Libra of the vampire princess Update

Basicly , VITA version can't be made as their estimations for making the vita version were over estimated , and the fact that sony won't allow the patch for unlocking the 18+ content on vita as of now.

Considering that 96% of the backers voted for having this content included in some form, they are going toward android !

More details at the link.

I'm tired of Kickstarters. Get your own damn pennies elsewhere.

JAST announced that they will delay the release of flowers. They seem to have finally admitted that the demo was in a horrid state and that it needs fixing. No new release date has been announced.

It's a step in the right direction, but they still seem to be trying to fix everything through QA and TLCs instead of starting over.

And AmiAmi finally has automne listed in addition to its OST... but the summer fan book which is supposed to be released in April still hasn't been listed yet.

Well, they didn't even make it up to the Vita goal through the Kickstarter, right? It sucks anyways, though I didn't care about having it on VITA, to be honest.

Actually the funding post kickstarter should have reached that goal.
( that was before they realised that their funding plan was a little flawed )

Trully the right steps to take.

Are any of the Sunrider games good? A third one is coming out on March 11.

Both the VN and free strategy/VN/mecha game have positive reviews on Steam, but I've read bad things about the VN on gaf.

Also, any way to stream VN games from a PC to an android tablet/iphone/vita? Would love to read some of them laying down. I remember tried using some weird combo of apps ~4 years ago and it was unbearably laggy.

Edit:
Currently testing out Splashtop and Chrome Remote Desktop for streaming from PC to iOS

Edit 2:
Didn't like either of those, but Microsoft Remote Desktop works great.

From reading the Steamreviews the game seems to be really short. Someone who played it for 3 hours finished it, someone else who played it for 4,9 hours also finished it.
Most of the negative reviews say that the game is far too short.

Ah thanks, I didn't notice the reviews.

BTW Microsoft Remote Desktop worked great for streaming VNs to my iPhone 6S. Gonna try later with my Nexus 7. Splashtop and Chrome Remote Desktop both had moderate issues or annoyances. Splashtop will try to automatically hide the very bottom of the display (where the taskbar normally is), and the only way to stream fullscreen games is to have an Nvidia GPU and download a regedit file from their site. Actually I guess it might be OK to play games in windowed mode, and just zoom in so that they take up the whole display of whatever you're streaming too, but that seems like a kinda schlocky solution.

Chrome Remote Desktop doesn't send audio, so that doesn't work for me.

Microsoft Remote Desktop works great, though. I'm using Windows 10, but I have no idea when it was added to Windows. The only negatives is that it always has a small widget showing the keyboard hotkeys and the name of the PC, but you can drag it anywhere you want and it's not very noticeable after a couple minutes. Also, the only way to pinch zoom is using mouse cursor mode. Pinch and zoom-in in the non-cursor mode rewinds the text for World End Economica, which is useful for accidental taps.

I didn't notice any lag, and only had a moment or two of visual or audio errors (I think because other devices were also using a lot of bandwidth on my WLAN). Really recommend the Microsoft Remote Desktop app for anyone that wants to lay in bed and read PC VN's.

The sunrider are alright , rough around the edges in many points but since the first 2 were free , they were a good way to spend time.
The difficulty curve was nicely done and the difficulty options were fun.
The first game had a bunch of choices, that amounted to plenty of small differences and the second had much less ( but you could carry on your choices from the first resulting in nice variations.)
The third game is hit or miss .. definitely DO NOT start at the third entry and the only logical course of action is to play the first 2 ( the first game is included in the second and it's FREE ) and decide if the ending leave you hungry for more.

i'd say that the value of the 3rd game is really based on whenever you enjoyed the first 2.

I just finished up with Fruit of Grisaia yesterday and am already itching for something else, I'm surprised just how much I enjoyed it in the end. Could anyone suggest some VNs that have a similar feel to Grisaia (or at least ones that might scatch the same itch)? Having a strong main character as well would be a big bonus.

Does it usually take a while for Mangagamer to charge you? I purchased Beat Blades Haruka last night and after about a 10 "failed transaction" notices (I didn't realize I needed a 1 in front of my phone number) it finally went through. But it's been 12 hours and I have yet to get a receipt and the money hasn't been taken out of my account either. Yet the game is on my account and I have it downloaded and everything...

It didn't before, but they had to change payment processor pretty recently.

Complete Global Yurification has been achieved in Kindred Spirits after I marathoned it over the weekend. I haven't played that many VNs, but of the ones I have, this was probably the most consistently enjoyable throughout. It didn't have any hugely dramatic or mind-melting moments like some of the others, but from start to finish it was an immensely endearing, well-written, fuwa fuwa yuri experience.

- The Planner system was inspired. One of my gripes with VNs is having to replay chunks of the storyline / manage save files when unlocking routes etc, so to have everything set out so simply was a real blessing. It also allowed the side scenes to jump around chronologically without becoming confusing, not least because you could always grasp the characters' mindsets by referring to the surrounding dates/events.

- The postgame content was greatly impressive, both in terms of its quality and quantity. I really enjoyed seeing the 'behind the scenes' interactions between characters who had barely conversed in the main story, and the illumination of certain points that weren't fully addressed elsewhere (e.g.
Ano's behaviour
) was also welcome. Overall I'd say I clocked around 25 hours before reaching the 100% clear screen.

- H scenes are usually my least favourite aspect of VNs, but I thought Kindred Spirits' were about as well-handled as I can imagine them being. Not because yuri, but primarily because they did an exceptional job of conveying the blend of nervous inexperience, clumsiness, passion and tenderness that was common to virtually all the pairings. On a loosely related note, despite some occasional technical flaws the art was utterly charming and perfectly suited for the game.

- If I had to complain about something, the limited voice acting was a slight let-down, and some font variation (at least between the character names and spoken text) wouldn't have gone amiss. I think I spotted 2-3 typos throughout the entire game, which is pretty good going.

- Couple ranking:
Lead > dead > radio > track > rock > saint > teach
.

Thought I remembered seeing an OT for it somewhere, but I guess I was wrong. Hm.

The results of MangaGamer's licensing survey are up.

With some hints about future licenses.
While not an absolute necessity for most, the majority of respondents demonstrated a moderate preference for HD graphics (one of our unannounced projects might particularly enticing to this crowd, no joke).

Romance and science fiction/fantasy took the top spots in the genre question––quite a few of our upcoming announcements fit one or both of those categories, particularly fantasy.
For those of you who put Umineko in 35th place: it shouldn’t be too much longer!
So, where’s that leave us for the year ahead? Well, there were a few hints peppered in the analysis above, but we can give you a few more morsels to chew on: continuations and sequels certainly are in vogue these days, so you might want to keep your ears tuned for some spirited additions and some double trouble.

And lastly: we’ll be having not one, but two special guests at Anime Expo this year. Whoever could they be~

Continuations and sequels? What MangaGamer products qualify for that? Hopefully its not just Imopara 2.

They'll also be making two announcements at Anime Boston at the end of the month.

Some dev-team is making a VR Visual novel:

Edit: More screens:

More Screenshots from the website:

If this becomes a real, actual thing that works well, really looks like those screenshots, and has a story worth playing, I will almost certainly buy a VR system to play it. Being able to step into a world that looks drawn, like an anime or a comic book, is just so much more interesting a use of VR to me than just trying to make things look like real life. I see real life all the time. Give me something new.

They're probably done unless they're being used for QA work.

They are, kilicool64 stated so on the Steam Greenlight page.
Also, apparently, they didn't start translation work until the Kickstarter was funded, which I find really suspicious considering it's supposed to be released in less than three weeks.
BW is a fast translator, but is he that fast?!

Yeah, that's nonsense. They were working on the game before Sekai Project even announced that they licensed it.
