Not a debacle. Just how do you go from Saldana being too light to Alicia Keys? Yeah..she screams darkness lol. Just an odd choice, considering the conversation. Not sure why Uzo Aduba wouldn't be an actress to take a chance on..
I think Martin was impressed by Saldana's acting in the trailer and it clouded his judgement and I can't blame him. If you look past the black face, Saldana looks amazing in this. Oscar nom amazing.

Do you need more context from their podcasts to understand what the fuck Danielle is even doing there? I only watch the youtube channel, but from what I've seen she's useless and a bit of a dummy.
I only watched 3 or 4 reviews from them (double toasted) but they seem to be the same kind of "funny but not that insightful" type of reviews, like RLM, yeah.

Martin does not sound enthused about the Preacher adaptation AT ALL. Anytime it even comes up in passing, he gets slightly salty.
I sorta trust him, because he is a huge fan of the comic. The more I see and hear of the show, the less interested I become. I love the comic, and the show is starting to sound like an extremely loose adaptation. Comes with the territory with TV, but my skepticism is growing.
