One of the best (non-MMO) FFs was released almost exactly 10 years ago and we've only had one (non-MMO) mainline FF since then. One more if we count MMOs and that is also a really good one, if you are willing to play MMOs. Really pointless to throw those kind of doom & gloom sentiments around.

I'm kinda excited for a formal announcement of the release plans for FFXV. But I'm also... not that excited. I was all ready to buy a PS4 for Persona 5 and FFXV this year, but rumors of a better PS4 coming out next year kinda turns me off.

I was locked in the moment I decided to impulse buy a launch unit. So there's no choice for me but to be as hype as possible for this title to finally fulfill my PS4's destiny.

Actually, it was originally announced about 7-8 months ago. Though we did get the more accurate event information only 2 months ago or so.

I don't think all those are summons. I think some could be just monsters. Wouldn't be much different from this:

Summons are present, as are monsters at the bottom.

If anything, I think this Amano artwork references the "unseen" or "yet to be unveiled" mystical fantasy nature they said you'd encounter as you progress into the game. It starts off in a world that seems realistic and modern, and as you progress, you start to descend deeper and deeper into the fantastical aspects of the world.

Yep, we can definitely make out the bombs so we know for sure everything isn't a summon.
