[GameInformer] Five Exciting Destinations You'll Visit In Final Fantasy XV

After playing Episode Duscae, you probably think you have a good grasp on what you’ll encounter in Final Fantasy XV. However, the demo’s wooded area is only a sliver of your turbulent road trip. One of the biggest discoveries we had in our extensive time with the game was just how many different destinations you visit. We tapped the dev team to pick five cool places and give some insight into them. After all, what’s a road trip for a Final Fantasy game without awe-inspiring locales?

1. Galdin Quay

2. Caem

3. Lestallum

4. Insomnia

5. Altissia

You can see some of these locations in the Environment trailer seen at the Uncovered FFXV event.

Heh, Galdin Quay is the only new thing (and the location itself was already revealed).

Surprised it is accessible so early in the game.

Can't wait to see the more fantastical locations in the latter part of the game, with Altissia probably being the transition point in the middle.

The order they have listed is surprisingly the same order my hype interest is at. Also, the best part? This isn't anywhere close to the final number of areas shown (as presented in the trailers at Uncovered). The best part is always the unknown, I think. ;)

In for Lestallum and Altissia :)

I feel that Insomnia will be boring(I hope not) and I don't know what to expect about Caem.

So are the cities really to scale?
I mean, Insomnia looks *massive.*

I feel like you're going to have the events at the big event square and maybe some streets but then you'll be locked outside the walls until you maybe return later in the game for a big boss sequence, or something.

I just can't imagine that you can actually wander the full scope of that city... But I want it.

Given that we've seen snowy environments, I'm really excited for a potential 'winter' town - they're always my favourite JRPG locations.

So basically the 5 cities we already knew? lol

Regarding Altissia, what does this mean?

Prompto: "Hey Noct, see that lady with the pink hair sat at that restaurant?"
Gladio: "She seems like a strong opponent"
The lady gets up and walks towards the party, punching Ignis in the face.
LIGHTNING FOREVER: Final Fantasy XV.

Seems they chose already revealed areas that wouldn't spoil the game outside of the first couple of hours GI played. Hope there's an article on the natural landscape. The one surrounding Galdin Quay looks nice.

Well theory is
that we'll explore Insomnia at the end of the game after it has been destroyed by the Niflhiem army. So it'll probably be deserted and have a lot wreckage in order to have the player in a specific area.

Do you actually talk to people in the city or is it like FF13 where they are kind of there but you can't go up and speak to them?
