Trump is literally a caricature.
He's a moderate centrist pretending to be a hardline right wing flange to win a primary. That's it. Come the GE everything he says will be politispeak and his "He says what he thinks" shit will mysteriously vanish, because it was never real in the first place.
He's still not a good person or candidate, but the persona he has now is just that, a persona, a fake to get votes.

You need more than that base now, Reagan tapped the well, Bush Sr rode the wave out, but that shit has come and gone in terms of the presidential (it's still going in local elections but nobody gives a fuck about those, to all of our detriment).

I dont get it either. Its like no one learns anything. After 2012 none of these guys insisting Trump will win, or that it will even be CLOSE would have been predicting such a thing because the memory of what happened was so fresh everyone recognized that alienating minorities and women is a death sentence for an election.
But some folks just have a 3 year memory. So here they are, swearing it's gonna be close, or that he is going to shock us all. I'm going to mass quote like 50 gaffers election night to get their responses on what exactly in the hell they were truly thinking during the aftermath of November. I really want to see the people that are making these predictions EXPLAIN how in the hell they thought it was feasible after the landslide goes in the other direction.

You are vastly underestimating minorities and how important they are. For comparison, in 1998, George H.W. Bush won 60% of the white vote. This was the electoral map:
Bush won 426 electoral votes to Dukakis' 111.
In 2012, Mitt Romney won 59% of the white vote. This was the electoral map:
Romney lost 206 electoral votes to Obama's 332.
Minorities matter and they hate Trump

Justice system? Election system? Economic system?
All of which requires a liberal Supreme Court, which so many 'progressives' seem willing to throw away just because their guy didn't win. Things have gotten so bad in the last 30 years because Republicans had over a decade in the 80s to fill the Supreme Court with conservatives who would uphold any conservative legislation and strike down any progressive legislation. This is the first time in 30 years that liberals have a chance to flip it the other way for the next several decades, and no one seems to care.
Political/business portmanteaus are usually terrible all around. "Right-sizing" can't even that much right.

I'm more amazed sanders seems two faced and petty on this despite all his rhetoric. This is usually something I usually say about trump and hillary. What I saw on MSNBC yesterday is the face of man content to let those around him sink hillary or worse himself by his vague and accusatory positions. Was amazed at the dodging, he really is a politcian underneath at times.
Another signal that he's transitioning back into a message candidate. He just needs to stop the jabs at Clinton character and it'll be complete.

The picture of a Sanders presidency is funny to me, though.
Just the image in my head of him sitting on his ass while Congress bitches about doing nothing looking around like "You need water or something? Nah? You good?" and looking a mixture of bored out of his mind and sad.
None of them is really the bailiwick of the POTUS. You need to change Congress, State and Local governments, the Supreme Court and probably Democratic and Republican Party rules for each of these.
Let's just say the grassroots efforts to change these from the Sanders campaign have been, uh, leaving a little to be desired on that front.
