STEAM | May 2016 - VAC to life, VAC to reality

Does anyone have impressions on Overfall? It's some kind of strategy RPG released in March. Didn't know it existed until I saw it on the Steam front page.

Steam Blurb said:
Explore the shifting seas of a strange realm. Fight challenging foes…or befriend them. Recruit lost souls and learn their histories. Take part in stories of the absurd and the tragic, the magical and the mundane - intimate, epic, and never the same twice in this fantastic strategy roleplaying game!

Edit: Alright, so from the trailer is sounds like a mix of Mount&Blade + Expeditions: Conquistador which is a rather fine combo. Gotta keep an eye on it; if I wasn't dead set on Overwatch and Stellaris I'd be jumping on it now. It even includes an event editor and some kind of guide(?) which sounds awesome.

How have I not heard of this before!?

Anyone seen YesThereIsADeal yet? It's obviously the IsThereAnyDeal guys but it shows a new deal every hour which their algorithm considers worth pointing out. Seems neat.

That seems like its a very fun thing to check out from time to time.

Thanks for the link.

All I want from E3 is that Persona 5 release date.
I'm completely immersed in UC4 right now and in a couple of weeks there's Blood&Wine. With the time I have to play these days, that and finishing Trails of Cold Steel will keep me busy the whole summer.
Haven't been touching the PC much but I need to get around to continuing Outlast, really liked what I've played of it.

Edit: Still need to finish Bloodborne too. Fuck me...

BTW, I think people who are into Telltale's games would really dig Until Dawn, the game is pretty cool.

That is indeed a very nice idea and I see how can it be useful as itad can be a tad too cumbersome to follow, it just has too much going on

about that... if you are from EU, I wouldn't hold your breath

I've known I would have to import since before it was even announced.

if they don't region lock it for kicks and giggles... again

Nothing sucks like being at work with nothing to do and gaf not having any new and interesting topics.

Maybe I should browse offtopic for a bit, that's always something.
I have one more hour of work today, SAP went just down so I cannot get anything done. Soo bored right now.

To continue the desk sharing (Had to clean up the papers and junk around my desk) but this is my little corner.

Edit: Forgot to mention but I got the Android N beta on my Nexus 6 and the camera took a deep dive. I wonder what the deal is. But it's kind of crazy how much software fixes up an image.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Don't think that we
(or Salsa)
wouldn't notice those DS games.

Cool setup!

Hiding the talkie version of World of Xeen deep in the submenu is like the weirdest decision ever on GOG's part. I imagine a lot of people don't even realize it's there and just play the floppy disk version (which is what launches by default if you press the big green "Play" button).

EDIT: To elaborate, I'm speaking about M&M: World of Xeen in GOG Galaxy. The full-voiced version is accessed via the "More" menu: "More" → "Other" → "Might and Magic 4-5 (F..." (that's literally what it says in the menu, but it's actually "Full-Speech version"). Keep that in mind if you ever decide to play World of Xeen and also note that savegames seem to be NOT compatible between those two versions.

EDIT2: Also, for anyone interested in M&M or RPGs in general, I'd recommend not skipping M&M3: Isles of Terra. People tend to overlook it and jump straight into World of Xeen, but Isles of Terra is fantastic in its own right.

That's funny considering it's a picture of Kim Jong Un on a computer lol. The internets not so great around there I hear. Here's another link, maybe this one will show up. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18ir...g/original.jpg

That industrial size bottle of Jergens I see. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

LOL.

"Our". Are you an entity? ;)

Looks pretty crammed.
Looks nice and homely but doesn't the chair get very uncomfy?
Hail our leader o7
Why is the lotion not in your bath but on your desk?

That's a good question. It is probably why I hardly use it, suppose to use it to fix my rough working hands.

If you do some simple renaming of Dosbox.conf files in the game folder, you can have the Play button launch the talkie version.

Does Sims 3 have issues on Windows 10? I can load it up and play for a bit but then always get "the sims 3 has stopped responding" and it crashes to desktop.

Koihime Enbu is really fun, really glad Degica brought it over.

Check it out
I bought Guilty Gear Xrd and Melty Blood Actress Again in the last few months, but I just might have Anime fighter fatigue as I played the latter only for a few hours.
Plus I am not good at Fighting Games in general (especially if they do not have awesome tutorials like Skull Girls) - I think I will pass on Koihime Enbu until it gets discounted,

I just realized that this years summer sale is going to be hard. Since I won't have a huge budget I have to choose between either getting No Man's Sky or a bunch of other cheaper games during the sale. No matter what the reviews turn out to be for NMS I don't know if I can pass on it.

No Man's Sky is out in June.

2016 has just been phenomenal on PC, potential GOTYs as far as the eye can see.

Takes too long and it's good to not do everything with the mouse to avoid repetitive strain injury.

Dunno, rocker gestures aka hold one button and press the other to go back and forward are basically instant. I only ever touch my keyboard to type in text or addresses, everything else gets done with gestures and imo its more relaxing overall.

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.
god these Souls games (or in this case Souls-like) are so fucking draining.

why do we like these again? >_<
