I just got to level 25. I think my only real complaint is the turrets. I don't mind bastion or rapier. but the turret drive me crazy. Their range seem too great. The hints says it's only 40m, but it seems to be longer then that.

Niiice.

He's my top 3 most played now.
I really feel like he might be another hero that works better on PC. His wall run stuff is just amazing.

Like a Lucio on Anubis? On point B, he can run around high above people's heads, healing them without people even knowing.

Yeah, they should have made Lucio the spider not widowmaker, due to his climbing ability. A spider DJ. DJ spider.

But yeah, I like playing pharah to ruin lucio's wall run dreams.

you just don't understand about Bastion and Torbjörn man

the turret AIMS ITSELF bro

IT AIM ITSELF!!!
I'd really like all the Torb and Bastion whiners to try to actually play them. And particularly try them against decent opposition. Tell me they're unbalanced then.

The first time I played torb I went on a 33 kill streak

He is really not hard to play at all

Even without his turret, his weapon by itself is insanely good

I believe they look at a variety of stats on multiple levels of playing, including noobs. So noob's opinions are irrelevant... but really you aren't a noob forever. You learn how to counter things. Things level out. Eventually the former noob is an average player with often a change in perspective and opinion.

If you go by this https://watcher.gg/heroes alone, mccree has the lowest winrate. I think in reality, new players bring that winrate down a ton, even though technically he has an I win button in the middle players hands. And even then, turning his strength into a win isn't guaranteed.

I honestly feel the game is really well balanced right now, I wouldn't change a thing unless something really broken arises. Some characters will never be tournament worthy and that's fine imo, they'll still get plenty of game time in normal competitive/quick play.

I have. And I almost always get 25+ kills and POTG. Torb is way OP against pubs if you place the turrets smartly.

Again. Play against some decent opposition and tell me it's so easy.

There's a reason why he's considered a bottom tier character like Mei.

decent opposition

And yet she is so awesome to play as. People get so fucking wound up when you drop a wall in front of them and shut them in a room or something when they're running for a capture point. It's very entertaining.

I find the most infuriating thing Mei does to be freezing you, then walking into your line of sight, aiming carefully, and headshotting you. Actually, as someone who never plays Mei (I should practice with her more), for me it's looped all the way around from infuriating to hilarious now. All she needs is a quick wave hello before the headshot--imagine the salt.

I hope they do because a lot of complaints coming from the masses are pretty silly. Also, it's the smart thing to do for esports.

If the option is between the "oligarchy" of the pros and the general masses, I'll take the pros' opinions.

It's neither. The vast majority of players in any game are not "pro" players. I'm sure Blizzard has several people who read all the various complaints, rankings, and opinions both of the revered pros and the unwashed masses.

But the game isn't balanced for either of those groups. It's balanced based on data sets and analytic collection.

The "smart thing to do" for esports is to ignore all of the biased statements made by humans about your game. The human feedback you should be concerned about is, "Is it fun?"

For all the balance issues; which character has too much health, who wins on what maps, whether or not some character is over-powered or under-powered, why some characters aren't picked, etc...

Those are issues that are solved through data collection, not op-eds. You can't approach balance via hearsay.

lmao, after we captured the first point on king's row in less than 30 seconds or so.

I paid $39.99 for this game and it was a great investment. I already have 24 hours lol. The complaints about lack of a single player campaign is crazy to me. I've paid $59.99 for a 9 hour campaign only game before. The replay value is through the roof with this game.

Sure, data collection is fine.

As long as we don't listen to the general playerbase. Because if we did that, every damn character would have had a nerf request by now.

It was ''Decent opposition''

We were actually getting steamrolled and once I switched to him the tides turned and they couldn't do shit. Are you gonna keep telling me ''decent opposition'' now?

I'm not saying he's OP, but hes very easy to use and his turret takes literally 5 sec to place and upgrade and his ULT is fantastic

Agreed. Back when TF2 came out, I played mostly as an Engineer, so naturally I thought that I would love playing as Torbjorn. Things quickly changed when I realized that anyone that knows what they are doing will take out your turret in no time.

I've never understood that. There have been times in Overtime when I knew it wasn't worth running back, but I have been on teams that have won countless games where the team steamrolled the first point but couldn't get the second or payload to completion.

I've had good Torb games and I've had really bad Torb games where I should have swapped out after the first death because the enemy Pharah's only mission was to counter my existence bad

I think the games a solid value proposition, thats why I bought it after all. But I would like a single player campaign or spin-off simply because I like the characters and the world. Not due to any monetary issue.

Did they actually try to counter you? A quick Genji or Junkrat pick should have easily stemmed the tide. The fact that they "couldn't do shit" against one character tells me that in fact your opponents were not that great or that the rest of your team was that good.

Like I said, he's not a top tier character. He's a fun pub stomper. Not much more.

lost with the payload 0,35 away from the final spot. Why are people just running around like idiots trying for kills.

I've been on defensive end of games like this where nobody is even watching the payload just running for kills.. really frustrating

If you leave enough times, you get a pretty hefty experience penalty.

how much is enough? feel like penalties for leaving should be stricter tbh
