The spot was fine and exactly what I expected from their player model. Ubisoft isn't good at nuance as the first Watch Dogs and The Division have proven, so I'm not expecting them to do wonders depicting youth culture.

Well, it has this "Annonymous" or "Mr. Robot" feel, so I'm more than ok with this. I really hope this time they will deliver, I'm such a sucker for this type of settings...

is there really anything that good in the first that makes people excited for the second?

is there linear missions inside the open world like far cry has? which is why I loved far cry blood dragon those levels were damn good reminded me of some of my favorite missions in borderlands 2. both of those games have some nicely design semi linear parts that are so goooood

Going by all the reactions I thought it was going to be total garbage, but looked fine to me. They really needed to find a distinct tone after the paper-thin blandness of the original.

Same here. I had zero interest in WD, and never even played it because it looked so generic but this looks interesting.

Seems pretty run of the mill to me as far as twitch ads go. Going by reactions I thought it was going to be much worse.

Dude chill, is just an ad, wait one hour to watch the real reveal, then, you can criticize their way to present the game for the first time all you want.

Cause generic protagonist that was just bland is what we got last game.
Let's just see for now. Ubisoft have the capacity to write good characters, it's just that its "sometimes".

How many times will we have to explain that showing gameplay with the reveal trailer is not going to happen ? There is something called media planning, done by PR/marketing departments. They won't show and reveal everything with the first trailer. It makes no sense. The purpose of the reveal is to get people to know that the game is going to release, what the universe/concept is and if possible when you can get it. Please try to understand that you're not the only target and that there is reasons for marketing choices, it's not done by simpletons in a cool suit.

The gameplay is going to be shown during E3, like they always do for their new games. Anyway when there is gameplay dudes like you call it bullshit and say "You've lost me, won't buy" (the first game was revealed with an infographics trailer to pitch the universe and the well-known gameplay sequence just afterwards btw)

why are we talking about this as "reveal trailer" etc when it's clearly an AD (which OP clearly mentioned)? How often do you see actual gameplays in ADs? It happens sure, but we are getting CGI most of the times.

I hope they're not basing the tone of this one all around the not-Deadmau5 guy in the first game. I liked Watch Dogs, but that guy was the worst.
