Someone has basically just dumped the entire game-code. Bunch of people going through it now. I'll say new info as I find it. Notable things so far:
STAB is in the game, but at a reduced 1.25x rate instead of the 1.5x from the main series
Incense spawns new Pokemon at a faster rate if you walk around while using it than it does if you stand still.
Nice bonus happens when the radius of the circle is between 70% and 100%, Great between 30% and 70%, Excellent between 0% and 30%.
Max Player level is 40, but after level 20 Eggs you get won't increase in CP and after 30 you won't see stronger wild Pokemon.

yeah... but you won't be really sure if the pokemon you are hunting moves to another position if you are getting away... or you are just more near to another one...
I found a pikachu but 'cause of the 3 footprints wasn't even able to find it... and on top of that a pokeball froze... restarted the game and wasn't there anymore even if I backtracked my steps to a previous location...
The game isn't fun anymore for me if you can't rely on your pokeradar.... even more if I'm not into the gym fights and more in the Catch'Em All

Weight and height are distributed using a normal distribution with the mean being the species height and weight you'll see in e.g. the main series' Pokedex, and with a special standard deviation set in the coding - for example, Pikachu's is:

You should be constantly moving whenever using incense. The faster the better IMO. If I'm in a car that's moving fast (freeway, etc) I get a Pokemon to spawn about every 10 seconds.

Yes, but the Pokeball has to land inside the circle.
Critical hits are in the game and do 1.5x damage; some moves have higher critical chance than others.
We have the animation duration of all moves in the game instead of just estimates now.

I believe those are ones you caught recently (maybe last 24 hours?)
That can also be caused by server issues. I had that issue last week when creating my account using a PTC account, then magically my username was available a day later trying again with a Google account. I don't think the type of account actually matters, just that the servers were less slammed the next day.
So glad I registered day 1

You're kidding, but I actually will be a bit upset if they don't at least slide me a couple Incenses for all the items I used only to have the app/servers die until the effect wore off, anyway.

So this would mean for instance that if we do have some sort of Sun & Moon capabilities, we could send Pokemon to the games and say a CP 156 Pokemon might be like Lv 30 then?

weight and height do indeed seem to have absolutely nothing to do with potential, which is determined by 4 stats it seems - 3 individual values for Stamina (HP), Attack and Defense, plus a CP multiplier; all of which are set on a per-Pokemon basis and not a per-species basis.

When there was a rare Pokemon sighting everyone ran towards it, it was crazy. Took some pic..
Planning on going there again because a charizard spawn there a few days ago

CP 156 is more like level 6 in the main series. I'm not sure how easily Go and the main series are compatible - Go Pokemon vary between level 1 and 82 instead of 1 and 100; they only have three IVs instead of six, and they don't seem to have natures, or genders, or abilities, or shininess; not to mention only learn 2 moves. These things could all be filled in if you transferred it over, but it's as a result likely the process would be one way.

Because trading over the Internet would be terrible. Is that not obvious? Have you not read all of the stories of people going outside and interacting with other people because of the game? And you want to replace that with some anonymous in game trading board like in the main games?

I love seeing an onyx pop on my map to only realize thanks to the shit servers and the 3 step bug I'm never going to be able to find him. Last night we got lucky with walking into people's yards to only find out that the only way to catch primeape was to trespass.......so fucking stupid
