Stop reaching. There was none of that. Nothing anti anyone in the interview. You can put in that context if you'd like.

There's some truth to what you're saying, I'm typically not a big fan of Umar Johnson, but I noticed in this interview he put a lot of his usual pan-africanism talk to the side and spoke something that he's probably been holding in for a while, directly to African Americans.

There was nothing extreme, hateful or anti anything in this interview, you're putting your own negative spin on his words.

You're right that I'm generalizing Umar Johnson, mostly because of interviews like his last Breakfast Club interview where he says gay people are not born gay and compares gay people to pedophiles and murderers and that it's a completely learned behavior in addition to women having to "behave properly sexually" to keep relationships and keep a man in this same interview. So while he never says anything "hateful" about the LGBT in this new interview, when he starts talking about Obama having a domestic mandate to give all of our rights away to the LGBT and Latinos, you know this isn't coming from a completely "neutral" state of mind.

Burst of new Persona 5 stuff today and it's best that I stay away. 17 minutes of what straight up looks like the games opening or something + what seems like every other social link + some new dungeon gimmicks. Yeah, I'm radio silent till February. Also need too pool together some PS4 money.

There's people who think Latinos and LGBT are taking away black rights? Where's that coming from that they think that? That guy sounds loco.

When people say things like "My god you can get killed for anything nowadays' gotta chuckle a bit. Getting offed for bullshit is apparently a new thing to people.

Literally been put in all kinds of black-centered media that white people love from music to TV and film but only now do they finally get it.

Can I just be honest, in a moment of complete pettiness?

I am sitting in my livingroom seriously so happy for Michelle Obama right now.

She has spent the last 8 years seeing her husband picked apart. Her daughters picked apart. And herself picked apart, only guilty of being an intelligent black woman married to the first black president.

And she gets to wake up in the morning to the news that the wife of her biggest detractor is being publicly dragged for stealing HER words.

An amazing gift.

Probably see the come up for some Latinos and get jealous. Or the come up for some LGBT.

Seeing this Kim K-Taylor response is hilarious. Got some people on Facebook linking it to caping for white women. Amazing.

Especially if you think about how Kanye needed a white woman to cosign for him.😐

I've never taken such hateful context from the dude's interviews. You apparently watched the interview, and tells others not to. Nonsense. Repost for the new page.

First, I just quoted an older interview from the Breakfast Club...

https://youtu.be/h2LaD-U_uVw?t=1281

...Where Umar Johnson says this:

Umar Johnson: I don’t hate nobody. As a therapist I do therapy with homosexual males all the time and for alot of them one of the precipitating issues that led to the homosexuality was childhood molestation by an adult while they were still a child, so I have an empathy for that so I am not going to be ridiculing somebody because they’re gay, lesbian, or bisexual because I know there’s issues in their childhood that helped bring that about.

But at the same time, I reserve the right to say that I don’t think this is in the best interest of my community. I don’t hate you but I am not going to support it because I don’t see the long term benefit of practicing this type of behavior.

Angela Yee: Do you think people are born gay?

Umar Johnson: No, its totally environmental, learned behavior and there is no conclusive evidence to support it. Alot of murderers say they were born murderers, alot of pedophiles say they were born pedophiles. So if we’re going to say there’s a ‘gay gene’ then we’re going to have to open up the conversation and say that there’s a ‘pedophile gene’. Which means if I molest children then I shouldn’t go to jail for it because after all it was in my DNA. So, we got to be careful when we open up one door; you got to open all of them doors.

What context is there to take here? This is clearly anti LGBT talk. If you don't see that you may have other problems besides thinking this new interview is good to promote to people.

Second, I didn't tell anyone in this thread not to watch the new video. I said it was a shit interview and called Umar a hotep among other things. That's just my opinion on the interview and this clown in general. If others want to sit there and listen to Umar, they are free to and if they think it's a good video, let them say so. But don't accuse me of taking things "out of context" when all I'm doing is quoting this idiot.

Why does anti - LGBT rhetoric always default to pedos?

they're not interested in not hating, they pick something easy to hate and smear everyone with it. Zero plans on stopping hate.

It creates an illusion that if you champion LGBT rights you are for pedos, That is why people use kids to justify their shitty shit. Cause who wants to argue against kids?

They never will be
Might aswell get over with it

I mean, LGBT got rights and major advancements for their causes. Y'all are caught up on a relative non-issue compared to the current state of black rights where we get murdered in the street, slandered and laughed at on public TV for all your friends and family to see, which is what he's speaking on.

To each his own though.

And there are plenty of more intelligent brothers speaking on these issues without going into Obama conspiracy theories and anti gay/women rants. Michael Eric Dyson was on the breakfast club a few months ago, why not push that video? But no, you'd rather just show up in the thread to promote moon brothers.

When shit first popped off, I wondered how Kim's whiteness would counter Taylor's whiteness, given Kim's proximity to blackness and the perpetual victimhood Taylor is afforded.

Turns out, pretty well, as from what I've seen, people have turned to just bashing Kanye and both women are getting off relatively unscathed.

Still howling at Selena Gomez taking the biggest L.

You've made your point. You want people to watch the video. Most have. Some think it's ruined by propaganda and hotep garbage and rightfully pointed out so. You've not added much else to a discussion about it. Leave it at that.

Yea. That was a great watch, and I'm STILL not really a fan of Farrakhan. I've got my own opinions about the NOI and what they've done for the black community.

I don't know what a "hotep" is or a "moon brother" is. This is lingo for bandwagoning children.

Why don't I push the Michael Erik Dyson video? I watched it, he didn't say anything I hadn't heard before.

I don't vote for my own personal reasons but I find it so ironic that the people always telling me it's important to vote are now refusing to vote because Bernie is out of the race. I thought the most important point was that every vote counts and we don't want trump to win. And people call Hilary wish-washy

The important point is that your guy wins or you're staying home. It's fucked up.

That's how all these voting campaigns have always felt to me. Instead of "do your research and then get out there and vote," it's always come across as "get out and vote because you'll hopefully you'll pick the person I want to win."

I got my own problems believing in this system and even I'm considering getting up off my ass to vote, so I just don't understand why people who have preached this to me all my life are going back on their convictions
