I usually hate this style as comedy as well but it does have moments where it's funny
When it's genuinely improvised it can be fine, but usually it feels really forced.
I felt the banter in the new Ghostbusters felt pretty scripted, in general, even if it wasn't.
The sad thing is, people will say some dumb shit like "women just aren't funny" when it actually just comes down to a mediocre script and bland editing. Certainly a ton of male-led comedies are awful, too, but since female-led comedies are so rare they are over-scrutinized.
The movie wasn't very funny, IMO. But that might be because I'm 31 and find most entertainment, especially comedy, to be extremely derivative.

Yeah used to watch it as a kid. I haven't seen anything related to it in over 20 years. Surprised to see it.

Opinions are fine, but you're flat-out wrong here. They have put out some of the smartest and most on-point criticism of modern and classic films. And they're enthusiastic about plenty of things.
They appropriately praised the parts of it that deserved it.
Hardly what I'd call "cynical" but people are entitled to their poorly supported opinions regardless of how I feel.

No, if anything, heavily improvised back and forth bits are one of my favorite things in comedy.

They gave Prometheus a positive review. Heck, there's quite a few occasions where they gave critically ravaged films a recommendation, like John Carter. They genuinely love films.
To share your opinion about how something is garbage, without initially adding any explanation (especially in a thread that's just tangentially related to that thing) is something I'd consider as "Internet cynism"

people should view Double Toasted reviews for verifying Red Letter Media reviews

I hated Jurassic World, but 95% of the time my opinion aligns with both of these gangs. The best two movie groups on Youtube by far.

Yes, I agree, RLM's style of comedy is totally sh-oh
I generally don't like that trailing off into a low voice or mumble, especially if it's fake enthusiasm that is really cynicism.
Also:
Cursing - Ok when appropriate.
Random - Mixed in to a proper performance it's fine.
Cynicism - Needs good clever writing or ideas to back it up.
Hyperactive - Very few people can pull this off.

Both are good if you find them funny.

They at least tell you what is wrong with the movie.

It's just a nothing joke. If the actors doing it have amazing chemistry, it can be funny, but it's usually just lame filler material.

I like their reviews, though.

Damn, that's harsh.
All I can say is clearly there are a whole lot of people that enjoy it. Will Ferrell is arguably the most successful mainstream comedian of recent years. Yes, it's stupid comedy but I think most folks do still find it funny.
A whole lot of people often enjoy a whole lot of shallow, generic crap. Listen to pop music.
