Wow, just when Ebron was making huge strides in this offense. Huge, huge loss.

Cole Wick step on up to first team. Heard great things about him but this is a huge loss to the offense. Feel really bad for Ebron.

Yesterday Browns had thier big scrimmage with hiting. Today they're having another scrimmage, they wont be wearing pads though. They're calling it a mock Game, it's gonna be streamed live at 3pm est. feel free to tune in and mock my team:

Fuck and I was just reading an article this morning about Quinshad Davis a 6'5, 215 lb rookie WR who has been turning heads at camp. Ebron has been helping him out because Davis is playing under a $3,000 contract and was going over Ebron's house to study film.

His solution: Kills two birds with one stone, and hit up Eric Ebron.

"I was at his house three or four days out of the week," he told MLive after a practice this week. "I'd go over to his crib all the time, and I'd be like, 'Yo E, what do I got right here?' Or, 'What am I supposed to do here? How can I get open right here?' I just look for advice from everyone.

"And man, I needed to do laundry anyway. They got us up on that hotel right now, you know?"

Article was posted 7 hours ago before the injury news came.

I honestly feel terrible for Ebron. He was making huge strides and was one of Stafford's favorite targets in the offense.

We still have plenty of other options but it just sucks to see the development of Ebron potentially sidelined for the whole season, maybe longer.

Seriously, would there be any trade options for a Tight End? I don't know if Quinn would do that but I'd offer a 2nd or 3rd round pick for a serviceable WR/TE.

PrideofDetroit had an interesting analysis of moving Anquan Boldin to Tight End. The line between Wide Reciever and Tight End is getting very blurry my friends.

One outside-the-box option would be to move Anquan Boldin into the tight end position. Boldin’s physical skillset would be a natural fit as a tight end, and the move would allow the Lions to keep an additional receiver on the roster. That could be good news for guys like Jeremy Kerley and Jay Lee, who are desperately trying to take hold of a roster spot at wide receiver.

This offense doesn't need a traditional blocking tight end like a Brandon Pettigrew. Just someone who can line up in the slot and beat a Linebacker one on one which Ebron was doing.

I'm intrigued by Cole Wick though.

Cole Wick from the University of Incarnate Word.

Been hearing good things about him throughout OTAs so maybe he can step up. Filled in for Ebron right when he was carted off and caught a TD pass.

I like the idea of Boldin at Tight End but apparently Eric Ebron got hurt on a blocking play in the redzone. He should never be blocking and with this injury who knows if he comes back 100% or if we resign him next season.
