Would you like the next main Final Fantasy to have the same art style as KingsGlaive?

Personally i wouldn't because it looks too Western and photorealistic for me (which i don't think fits with Final Fantasy) but i'd be curious to know what other people think.

That's in fact happening, it's called Final Fantasy XV

A couple of changed faces because of higher level of detail doesn't make the artstyle really different.

To me it doesn't look far from XV's art design, and by extension, Advent Children. I've always wanted an Advent Children game so roll on XV and the VII Remake. Sure, the graphics don't match Kingsglaive, but the art direction ain't far off.

I prefer that to the XV character designs but honestly I'd rather they went for something less realistic altogether.
They won't

No.

FFXV is close enough really. The difference is thatt they're using japanese actors for motion capture lol ?

Whatever.

I'd rather see a new take on Ivalice.

Or get a very stylized Amano world.

I agree with you OP. It seems we are in the minority on here from what I've seen and most people much prefer it.

Kingsglaive looks good, but every 3D FF has had a very different art style, aesthetic, and world type. I'd prefer they mix things up with something different after we've essentially been looking at XV for the past 10 years. I wouldn't even mind a more classically-themed style.

Maybe in the future they can revisit that style, but for XVI, it'd be best to be a departure from XV imo.

I want it to have the same art style as A King's Tale

FF7 remake has the perfect visualization imo. Old FF13-Versus, too. Would love to explore a darker theme that is very urban.

Idk what I want in a FFXVI. I know I still want more of Ivalice so maybe before we get there we get like FF Zodiac Conquest or something with the models looking like KingsGlaive but the medieval esque clothes of Ivalice

EDIT: We really out here Ivalice gang

To me Agni's Philosophy looks like KingsGlaive which i find really boring.

I know i'm in the minority here but i would have loved to see FF step away from all that realism and use a cel shaded look or something similar for the next main FF.
Something in the style of Zelda Breath of the Wild but set in the world of Ivalice for example would have been incredible IMO.

I also wouldn't mind see a big budget/open world main FF with the same art syle as World of FF.But i know that will never happen. :/

No, not all games have to strive for realism.
I wouldn't mind them going back to Amano Designs a la IX for example.

Kingsglaive reminds me too much of AssCreed or Ubi characters at times.. Looks very western heavy. I like a balance of both not over the top anime nor over the top western.

I want that JRPG feel.

I think if they were going to go for a non-photorealistic mainline game art style, they would have done it by now.

They've had quite a few modern games with technical shortcomings they could have padded over with one.

I think Versus had that balance at first but then they decided to change the character faces and make them look more western but still keep their Japanese characteristics so now we got this weird result which i personally don't like at all.

Lord Nomura got sacrificed, but I'm already invested in the crew so I'm going down with ship til the end or we gonna arrive safe at shore. I'm sure the movie is going to be good and surprise a lot of folks.. Now it's up to the game to be at the very least good.

Eh i'll be getting the game on day one but i'll pretend the movie just doesn't exist.Hopefully the game's story will not feel incomplete without watching the movie.

It's doubtful but I'd love a FF game to try a Victorian-esque setting. That could just be me playing Bloodborne a lot to make me want that though.

I'd take Agni's Philosophy over Kingsglaive for the next setting.

Personally, I'd like to see a setting like early 1900's esque, World's Fair and all.

I just hope it's more consistent in XVI.

And for the dialogue and English voice direction to improve drastically.

Don't skip the movie it's basically the opening.
I thought the movie takes place smack dab in the middle of XV's story, not in the opening - it was a section they cut from the game because the playable characters were quite a ways away from where the movie's events take place.
