I need to catch back up with the show again. Slacked off after Sad Sax. >.> Uhhh, one question I have to ask though is, what has been going on with the whole "Mordecai / CJ / Margaret" love triangle after that episode?

I dunno, I felt this year was one of the weaker years with regards to the Halloween special. Most of the shorts didn't do much for me.

Speaking of the Regular Show movie, I did watch it and enjoy it. Though I dunno if I could have forgiven Rigby for what he did. That might be the most selfish thing he's ever done. That's like life altering bad. Like goddamn O_O I also get that the teacher (Ross?) was mad Rigby fucked over his volleyball game but even for this sort of show, it seem a bit of a stretch that he'd what to arbitrarily destroy the universe and time over it. Other than those two, albeit major, points I thought the movie was great and classic Regular Show in all other respects.

Saw that the latest ep was about Mordecai and Margaret, struggled to watch it, and cringed at the awkwardness of it all. Hopefully this will be the last of it.

Hopefully Eileen and Rigs will stay strong forever

Not that it excuses it, but I did like that they used the chef to do a little meta-commentary about how tired people are of it.

Those nonlethal beanbag Gatling guns... The episodes have been great this week!
Yeah, I've enjoyed every episode this week. (With maybe the exception of "Just Friends" (which still had its moments.))

Billy Mitchell actually tried to sue CN and Regular Show over the Garrett Bobby Ferguson character and lost. Judge says its obviously 1st Amendment protected and also took the time to explain to Mitchell the difference between a cartoon and reality:

Cartoon Network argued that the “Regular Show” character “Garrett Bobby Ferguson,” or GBF, is a transformative depiction of Mitchell, who has held record scores in the game Donkey Kong—this was the central tension in the 2007 documentary King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters—and has a distinctive aesthetic.

New Jersey Federal District Judge Anne Thompson ruled that Mitchell’s appearance had been exaggerated to the point that that the character is “cartoonishly evil.” Also, according to the AP, the show is protected by the First Amendment.

“The television character does not match the plaintiff in appearance: GBF appears as a non-human creature, a giant floating head with no body from outer space, while Plaintiff is a human being,” Thompson wrote in her decision.

“And when GBF loses his title, the character literally explodes, unlike Plaintiff.”

They're about to start premiering this and Adventure TIme on Saturdday nights.

After seemingly not playing any new eps (of ANY of their shows) for about a month.

CN used to be better about scheduling than Nickelodeon or DIsney.

Well I guess at least consistent about airing when they say they will.

They've actually been debuting new episodes of Regular Show in the CN app. And there have been new episodes of other Thursday night shows, like Clarence and We Bear Bears. They just kind of rotate them. It can be maddening, agreed.

Goddamn son.

Gary's Synthesizer is one of the best episodes the show's ever done!

And the ending WAS dark, even for Regular Murder.

IT IS THE WAY OF SYNTHOS.

I also noticed on re-watch that Gary says "Synthizens of Synthos". Just a brilliant episode.

Just watched "California King". Good but not great. The best performance comes from
a talking can of corn who has a hilarious 80's style action movie pun at the end.

Interesting finale.

Mordecai was season 1 Rigby levels of dickhead early on.
Eileen being elevated to main character/stuck in the park was probably the biggest surprise
.

I wonder if RIgby and Mordecai's friendship is going to be strained more. Seemed like the direction they're heading.

I think the spoiler was becoming more and more a thing, since other characters were always secondary and they had been doing this a lot. Like, nearly every episode a lot.

I'm just wondering where they go with this.
I feel like the relationship being strained was an entire season subplot directly related to Rigby going back to high school, which ended up being stated as much.

Wife and I were expecting them to make the park explode, given how somewhat murderous and heavy the show has been lately.

Your post had me scared the show was cancelled.

Sucks about Skips, but it feels like his role has been reducing every season so it's not that big of a loss tbh

Edit: unless I misread it and the show is ending?

There's another season coming.

But then every other CN show except this one got renewed.

MAYBE he's talking about his role but I doubt it.

God I hope not.
I really liked this show.
I think the whole "dome" thing was crap and should have only been drawn out over 2 or 3 episodes max. They don't have the same spontaneous "zaniness" of the earlier seasons.
Steven Universe started out promising then the voice actor for Steven changed and sounded terrible, the animation changed and looked half assed and it turned into a musical every episode.
Adventure Time just hasn't been good for ages.
Still at least we have Clarence and Teen Titans Go.

He went through puberty? Boys voices change when that happens. I don't understand your complaint about the animation either. The animation is consistent but the style may vary based on who storyboarded the episode. How much of the show have you watched?
