I like the look of the Slim. Don't know why it's getting so much hate. It looks sleeker (because it's smaller obviously) but the rounded edges look better than the hard angles of the original.

The round edges also compliment the logo better. PS4 logo is rounded and hasn't be edgy since PS2.

Meh, i guess Sony has to reply somehow to Xbox One S so here is the PS4 Slim, even though it's not really that slim or different compared to the original PS4, Xbox One S instead it's a real deal compared to original Xbox One, which is really big and has that external power supply

It's not a reply to the XB Slim. It's Sony shrinking components, replacing metal components with plastic, rearranging components, and combining components to reduce materials and manufacturing costs which benefits their bottom line.

TVs usually come with HDMI ports that you can plug your sound system into.

tbh the biggest problem I have with this PS4 design is that the top and bottom "slices" aren't symmetrical

Agreed on all points. If they do ever make a third revision I'm thinking it will end up barely bigger than an Apple TV or something. Pretty impressive shrinkage of the system. PS4 still feels new to me to be honest so it looks incredible they could reduce the thickness by that much already. To me it looks pretty classy. This on top of the original Xbox One will look ridiculous.

Something is telling me the next redesign is going to be a glossy file top. Probably due to the PS4 slim looking a little like the PS3 slim. I seriously hope they don't though. I like this redesign the same as I preferred the first PS3 redesign.

Yeah, I was amazed yesterday when we first saw it. I think they might focus on Neo revisions though but then if they can cut costs on the OG even further then they probably will do another shrink.

Do you think they'll focus on Neo revisions from now on? If they can cut costs on both I feel like we will get a 3rd OG revision as well as a slim Neo in a few years. I expect PS5 to be out before we see a Neo slim though.

Hopefully Neo will still include optical, being the premium SKU. I have my PLYR1 headphones hooked up via an optical switch to work across multiple devices.

Probably because the Mobo is flipped upside down. The only way it'll get slimmer is if the add an external power brick or take out the disk drive and have a download only revision.
