Deus Ex: Mankind Divided |OT| We Asked For This

The receptionist just called for the account manager at the bank, but I'm pretty sure I remember knocking him out earlier. Am I screwed?

If he was in an area that a NPC will come across, he'll be awake. I knocked out the arms dealer in Jensen's apartment complex and came back later. All was cool.

For getting into the corporate vault? No, you can get in through the security room downstairs and unlock the vaults and deactivate the security in there too. There is another path but I cannot recall which direction you need to go from.

on my replay of the game I am realizing I missed so much of Golem city, on my first run I just blitzed through it.

So found a bunch of bodies in a room can i find the killer reading all the pocket secretaries and emails don't say much. Is it the
Father of the Ana baby, can i find him?

edit never mind looked more closely at the scene:
Murder suicide I see the gun on the floor next to the guy

Lots of unmarked spoilers or parts that aren't hidden in this ot. Can we keep it being spoiler tags please for those who have the game but haven't had a chance to play it yet.

Not to be an ass, and I agree we should be more careful marking spoilers, but why are you here then? Plenty of other threads to get performance/impression details.

~28 hours of playtime now, curently at story mission 10. Reviewers who said the game was short can't have done much else that run towards the next waypoint. There's so much shit to do and explore and if some mission then happens to take you to that place again you usually can just walk right in, sort of like a reward for having explored earlier. :p

How useful are people finding the Social Enhancer aug? is it something I can use on everyone I can talk to or just a few targets?

The main story itself is fairly short - but I put about 40 hours into the game before I finished it, there's so much stuff to see and do as you rightly mention, I can't remember the last game that really drew me into it's world like this. I spent hours exploring and taking in every little detail.

My GF just texted me saying she beat it. But she's been in a mad rush since school starts again Monday. I've been playing it 3-4 hours a day and only on story mission 5

Hmm interesting. I started the game for the second time and this time there was no sandstorm in Dubai. Was that a bug or because I was really fast?

helps with side missions, only really had it used on
Rucker
for the main game. If you're playing pacifist it'd practically required, since you avoid so many confrontations.

I love this game so fucking much.

I am in
Golem City
right now and have a question about a side mission. For
SM04 - I didn't speak to Otar at all, I snuck in the back, got the Calibrator and bailed out. I've read there's a possible long SM in and after Golem if you spoke to him - am I fucked? I'd hate to miss it, but if I go back I can't speak to him, he just opens fire on my ass.

Would suck to wait for a 2nd playthrough if so.

Yes there is a large side mission related to him. I don't know if you still get it if you haven't talked with him.

You'll have to wait for a 2nd playthrough - which is what I'm doing at the minute,
I fucked up the conversation with him to begin with and he basically told me to get fucked so I had to steal the calibrator in the end up.

See, I did talk to him and got the calibrator, he said he'd call me later, etc.

But I never got anything from him later on :/

Damn, thought so.

Thanks

I also found my way in through the back and didn't even realize where I was as I murdered everyone in that room,
found the calibrator
and left. It wasn't until I got back to base and it said "DECEASED" and a post it note with "Aug?" next to it on the crime board in T29 that I even realized oh I guess he was one of the people my frag grenade tore the fuck up.

A lesson for a second play-through.

In the side mission where you put the body in a locker the dudes head got fucking stuck in a wall and I couldn't move him from it. Body moving is so bad in this game

I haven't had anyone get stuck but I have had some weird reactions from moving bodies.

Throw an unconscious guy from the top floor of Jensen's apartment complex: guy lives.
Move an unconscious guy into a bathroom stall: dies.

did the jensen story bonus mission

I understand why they do this separately, because it would be way to easy to do this as a god with all augs, and I actually found it very refreshing to do it with a fresh start and do things differently. did everything without hacking and any of the exploration augs and the game plays completely differently, haha.

still, I think it was a mistake to not include it in the main game, it just feels to detached and immersion is important in deus ex. as good as the mission was, it just felt unsatisfying. if they go the same route with the dlc I probably won't bite. I want to be part of this world and continue the story with my character.

At what point in the game is it safe to play?

Yep I've accidentally killed someone somehow, but I caught it and reloaded. Now I'm on lookout to make sure people are just asleep. I think he died from a throw but I've thrown people and had their necks twist in impossible ways and they live

Don't suppose I can mess up any future quests by exploring
the bank
early on?

If anything it will make any future quests so much easier. I went in there as soon as I got to the city and basically cleared out everything. When I finally got a quests there I could just walk right in like I owned the place. :p

Has anyone found a lemon-Lime /Orange Soda reference yet?

They included 0451 (with trophy/achievement), so I'd assume they threw in another old running joke.

Quick question/prediction on the harvester side mission..

I told the cop that Gunn didn't do it and now the mission is over for now...but the killer is Daria right? She seems a little too keen on Jensen( I mean, she has a freaking telescope pointed at his apartment window) and the murderer used an emp grenade which meant she could easily overpower the victim

There is follow up quest to this.
But yeah, you guessed it.

Really loving the game so far, I'm not too far in, but the only thing that bothers me as of right now is the lip sync and audio seems super off at times

Arrghhh it's like skyrim/fallout 3/4, spend an hour on a mission only for completion to require a higher level hack than you have, FFS

Used a trainer

Every mission has multiple ways to solve them. If hacking in mandatory part of mission then console or PC is rank 1.

Thanks to whoever recommended Seattle for the download region. I tried several countries and other cities in the US and my Steam never started updating until I tried Seattle.

you miss the probably best sidequest in the game
why did you even do/know about the calibrator, don't do stuff like that, that's obviously second playthrough stuff

I think there's also a way in via the underground parking garage across the street.
