Deus Ex: Mankind Divided |OT| We Asked For This

Played some Breach and I like it. Might invest some more time into it.

IT GETS YOU THROUGH LASERS???

Yes. Its what I mainly used it for.

Cloak is OP but drains like fuck. For obvious reasons. Just stock as many as cells as possible and its easy.

Dunno why I put points into Smart Vision. Might reload a save and pick up a different AUG. I feel like it reveals too much and makes exploring less interesting.

This and silent footsteps are a waste imo.

BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
Damn invisibility allows you to get through lasers undetected too? I've got that fully upgraded and didn't know that, that sounds OP as fuck tbh lol. Absolutely loving the game, i've (almost) finished the first mission in Golem City earlier, I turned it off right outside his door.

Is there a way to check your playtime on PS4? I imagine mine will be a lot higher than average, such a great game to wander around and get lost in.

I was already planning to avoid Cloak since it seemed OP, so thanks for confirming it.

So I am at main mission 15 and a comment on certain group..

Maybe it's because I have chosen to trust Miller at every turn but the whole Juggernaut collective side thing has felt completely pointless thus far except some details on Orchid. You could remove them from game and it wouldn't change that much. Plus there has been very little info on the time between HR and MD except Sarif side mission but even that got about as much as "was in coma, got new augs installed by a shady doctor." No info on how or why I joined. How am I supposed to trust random hackers I know nothing about?

Is my experience because of the choices I have made? Have I just not paid attention and the details are there?

I'm hoping it changes as I go on through the rest of the game.

Mechanics and graphics wise this game is great. Main hub is amazing and side quests are very high quality.

Silent footsteps were actually my third most used active aug (out of 3...), I began running into a lot of situations where I needed to jump down or up silently.

If you're thorough it seems you'll always have an excess of neuropozyne so I'd consider the intel provided a fair trade. As in I think it's easier to find neuropozyne than to find the info provided.

Yeah, I have plenty of excess neuropozyne right now, but I am getting ready to leave for the second part of the hub, so I am starting to get greedy about my supply :)

It gives you PoI / purchased info so up to you.

What do you mean by "Pol"?

There's definitely a missing link in between HR and Mankind Divided that's regarding The Juggernaut Collective.

Just started story mission 6 and I'm out of side missions. Did sm0-5 already. Anyone know where can find Sm06+? I like to alternate story and side missions if i can.

It all makes little more sense at the end. Just keep going and looking up info.

Edit: M15.. hmm.. well just push through

Point of Interest.

What augmention tree looked like for me at the end, I was throwing points into augs I didn't really want just to burn point. Fallout 4 syndrome in full effect.

Quick question: I just successfully negotiated to
get the calibrator from Mr. Botkoveli
, the casino owner.

Will there be any future penalties if I take some drinks there, or even some gear? So far I have not been taking credit chips that I find in the wild, because they belong to people and I'm not exactly desperate for money. But I was thinking of getting an alcoholic drink collection for Jensen's apartment, and if admittance to the casino equals free drinks...

He and I are such plain-talking honest men that I hate to steal from him.

Nah. I did the same. You even end up getting another quest from him later on.

I like how MD treats non-lethal players. Typhoon can be set non-lethal, wall break can do both this time. PEPS is non-lethal..

Now playing lethal and throwing blades is rather cool. Its also more efficient than tesla in terms of range and silentness. No multi hit though (unless you let them explode.

Way off topic, but did you name yourself after that big Missing Link boat? If not, and if you're willing to look up a few Chinese words, you have an easter egg to find.

Nah. I did the same. You even end up getting another quest from him later on.

In that case, time to drink my fill.

(Guns and money are lying around too... grab those?)

After hearing some really bad rumors, I am totally loving this game and even my full-price day-one digital (=unsellable) purchase is looking good. I'm taking my time, exploring, looking up Czech words online (Hlavni is Main Street, it seems); this is great. I'm still a Human Revolution diehard but this one is looking good too.

Picking up money and guns most likely will get attention of guards. Some guard didn't like it when I pocketed shotgun or something similar from them; "You stealing from us now?"

Tesla has been unreliable for me. Half the time I try to use it, it misses because its firing arc twirls instead of going in a straight line, so it often gets caught on wall edges or waist-high barriers instead of hitting the targets. It's already very situational... going through the game at about 38 hours, there were maybe 8-9 times where I felt like it made sense to use it for a total stealth/non-lethal playthrough (opposed to using takedowns and stun gun or just stealthy past), and I think 4 of those times I couldn't even get it to work (I kept reloading that part over and over) because it kept getting caught on something the enemies were standing near.

Began to give up on it... rather just sneak up close, double takedown, and then use the stun gun quickly if there was a third target (or stun gun + the slow motion if there were two extra targets or a target + camera).

That said, I still keep it part of my spec since the few times where it did work, it's pretty cool.

Its also unreliable when enemies aren't facing you with their backs. But I mainly used it when I was on higher ground and that worked perfectly as I didn't have to climb down first and risk detection. Tesla also disables cameras.

But the blades also have their issues. I threw one into a chair and the guy sitting on it was immediately alerted. lol'd and reloaded.

Silent footstep is extremely useful if you plan on using cloak since it allows you to just run right under the enemy's nose while using cloak.

Cloak+Silent footstep then run as far as you can, find cover and move slowly/take a vent or wait until your cells recharge and then run again.

micro assembler? I don't have that, I thought a feature like that would be cool.
is that platform exclusive content?

So I have over 10k credits... Is there any reason to NOT buy the praxis kits?

If you actively loot and sell stuff then 10k is absolutely nothing. Purchase all Praxis Kits you find, there isn't many for sale. Quite few can be found through looting.

No idea. I'm on PC and playing DDE version of the game. One of those throwaway augs I got just because I had too much available points, was swimming in crafting materials anyways.

Edit: Had it there from moment experimental augs got activated, if I remember right

How did he get the vent open?

I was just in that location and went as far as to bring the guy's refrigerator over so that I could stand on it. But without the jump aug you don't have enough time in front of the vent to open it.

I looked up, ran and jumped while mashing open. 😎

I just googled it, apparently it's dlc
I had no idea the dlc had exclusive augmentations, that's pretty scummy

the other one in the other dlc is apparently the chaff augmentation? what does it do? google doesn't say anything

Anyone else's performance on PC go to shit today? Been playing fine at 60 fps on very high settings every day since launch, but today I boot it up and I'm at like 15 fps. None of my other games have done this, it's baffling.

Man that's scummy. Squeenix still trying to wring blood out of stone.

I agree, I wonder why they didn't promote this further, I really had no idea, and in the dlc text it's not highlighted at all when this is really the big deal. that would probably have blown up in their face if more people knew about it, selling damn abilities as dlc.

So is the framerate walking around Prague a stuttering mess on PS4 for anyone? Some parts it literally looks like the game is hitching to the point of almost locking up. Indoor areas are fine. Really disappointing.

Silent footsteps are still not really needed to do that, at least I found it pretty easy to run through hoards of guards just cloaked.

you already know the answer.

Smart Vision has become indispensable for finding so much loot that I just wouldn't have seen or searched for otherwise, like under boxes and fridges and other furniture, on top of kitchen cupboards, etc. Plus, it reveals hidden buttons (though not all of them) that open secret doors.

Yeah and I think the fact I had a stun gun from the start reduced them for me... I've read a few people here mid-game asking about a stun gun, so I suppose for people that just never found one, the importance to the Tesla improves dramatically.

And you know what, I never knew that about camera... I always kept my Pistol with EMP rounds handy for that. That's a nice touch, it would definitely have made it useful to me at least a couple more times... Not sure how I missed that, I would have thought I may have accidently aimed it at a camera at least one and had the 'target acquired' appear but I guess just lucked out on that.

I'm looking forward to the blades as a big crossbow fan from the last game... I never used them for fully non-lethal first playthrough but this time I'm going to kill a few more baddies so the Blades (and my Classic Revolver) are the two things I'm most looking forward to using.

Haha I've been playing HUD less so I use Smart Vision so much for finding loot (no Interactive Object highlight)... I wouldn't be surprised if I spent a solid 2-3 hours of my entire playthrough with it turned on.

smart vision is most definitely my most used aug, I just love seeing through walls and it's great to look for items
you can even remote hack through walls with it

are there any weapons that shoot through walls?

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
I swear I've played for ~10 hours and still haven't gone to see my boss.

Oh, HELL, and I put together the mid-credit cutscene, as well.

I love how they're doing these, it REALLY makes the world fit together with the original game.
