Hate to play negative (the short was really fun!), but... how does Thor know about Thanos? I thought none of the Marvel heroes knew yet (even the Guardians, who threw down with a guy who served under Thanos for a while)?

I'm not feeling this video strangely. I didn't laugh at all, and I smiled a little when Mjolnit was put to sleep but that was it. I wasn't entertained. Although I'm sure Taika can make Thor: Ragnarok an entertaining ride. And his trailer for The Wilderspeople was hilarious, so I still got faith in him. But this clip was not funny.

Non-Canon.
Until anything else is being said, I think we should look at this video being canon to the MCU honestly.

You think Stark really called Banner up to ask him to be #TeamStark?

Neither Bruce nor Thor would be on Team Stark. Thor has BFF necklaces with Cap. Bruce hates Ross, unless Betty Ross shows out of nowhere and makes it a weird love triangle between her, Widow, and Bruce.

Only just seen this. I want to hate Marvel for being the top dog but stuff like this just brings into focus how in touch they are. I mean they make fun of so many of the shitty silly things in these films but keep Thor in character throughout. They know its all about the characters,

i kinda want an Extra's/Curb-like marvel show now
What if Phase 4 has a "What if..." film series that is like an anthology of short films by different directors where they have just straight up comedy or action or whatever segments of alternate reality stories.

It could be a blast without having to worry about canon.

I didn't loud out loud or anything but I loved this. It was cute and fun and we need more.

Reminds me of The CW and how they like to do fun fan service stuff sort of like this. Anyone recall that fight club promo commercial?

I desperately need more Marvel "between movie shenanigans".

It's that funny little bit that, between amazing action setpieces, you forget those action heroes have to eat, sleep and poop like the rest of us.

It's stuff like the Shwarma scene, where they aren't afraid to have their heroes be hilariously human.

Why does everyone assume Thor doesnt know who Thanos is.

In guardians of the galaxy he is referred to as "the mad titan" in such a way that I assumed he was already Infamous in the Cosmic MCU. If Nova corps is aware of thanos how could thor/asgard not be?

Found the quote:

Corpsman Dey: "Gamora. Surgically modified and trained as a living weapon. The adopted daughter of the Mad Titan, Thanos. Recently, Thanos lent her and her sister Nebula out to Ronan, which leads us to believe that Thanos and Ronan are working together."

If the Corps know this much about Thanos, than I think thor having at least a vague awareness of him is not only fine but makes sense.

Drax said at the end of GotG that it was really Thanos he had to kill, as he found out Ronan was working for him

In Avengers 1 it is pretty clear thor knows who Thanos is. He is well aware of where Loki got that staff

The Asgardians know about the Collector and Knowhere-it's assumed they should know about the Nova Corps as well. And they in turn know about Thanos.

The clip here establishes that Thor was doing NOTHING while Steve and Tony were fighting each other. He was not in space or in Asgard, but rather in nowhere Australia with Darryl. The phone call Banner gets pretty much seals the the timeline.

I noticed that Bruce seemed like he was hanging up the call instead of picking it up... One of the Youtube comments picked up on that too, and suggested that he was pretending to talk to Tony to mess with Thor :D

I want Thor: Ragnarok to be in this format, this was way better than Thor 1 and 2.

Just an entire movie of Thor fucking around in Australia, having coffees with Bruce Banner and trying to figure who the purple guy in the chair is. Sign me up.
