Only thing i am missing is some sort of line above to show the route like The Crew.
I dont want to use the on road line wich i think is to easy and the mini map guide isnt really good atm.

I hated that in The Crew, it was just super distracting. Especially with the way it sort of wobbles and bends as you go along.

Change the option to braking only.

Was planning to get this when it was a few months old and discounted. Played the demo. Preordered it.

Forza Horizon has easily become my most beloved racing franchise of the moment. I'm not a big racing fan, but I can enjoy them. Love how this time the offroad stuff is allready in the base game (You all know Storm Island was better then Horizon 2 itself)

If anything the handling in Horizon 2 felt off to me. It feels a lot better in this demo.

I think the handling feels better. FH2 had a very light and almost "your car has two wheels" feeling much like FM5. This has a more grounded "your car actually has a rear set of wheels now" feeling that adds weight to turns and changes the way acceleration feels, not unlike FM6.

Takes off the layer of steering assistance, it's really only meant to be used with a wheel, but a lot of people like to use it.

What does simulation steering do?

It doesn't counter-steer for you, as much anyway. Normal steering also smooths out your steering, since doing that with the stick on the controller gives you a very narrow range to finely control your steering.

But that's the steering, what I'm mostly a bit let down by, is how the car feels on the road.. I don't know, I'm not saying it's horrible in any way, shape or form, but it's not as "good" (good in quotes since it's subjective) as FH2, in my opinion.

For a force feedback the cheapest option tis the thrustmaster tmx $200

The only other options for a cheap wheel are non force feedback and you dont want that.

I love the way how they included aqua planning as well the steering on the different grounds... and my wife got mad at me yesterday evening as i cranked up my stereo to listen to the different motor sounds in different situations...

Man, Playground Games always delivers and I hope they will be doing Forza Horizon titles for a very long time...

I get why they did it, but it really bugs me, "hey, you're at Byron Bay, just drive up the road to the 12 apostles", grrrrrr

I guess it's a small issue, and I am probably in the minority, but I just find it really grating!

Hit pause and there is a menu option to go into Drone Mode.

edit: it unlocks after some races in the demo. (I think after signing the first radio stations)

Your car will stand still unless you have a second controller. You either good at controlling a car and a drone at the same time or have a friend helping you out there ^^

edit: or just start drone mode when your car is still rolling on a straight track. It will continue rolling until it stops iirc.

I played the demo, loved it. Liked it. I deleted it.

I got a taste, and im good.

Now the hard part is going to wait for the game to come out. Don't want to ruin it for myself

Well yea but the thing is.Last year i bought a xbox one just for Horizon 2 which i put countless hours in.When FH3 was announced for PC,i sold the xbox as i have a better PC than any console.I want to give them my money.I am planning to buy the Ultimate edition.But i am not that stupid to preorder it blindly.80 euros is the 1/5 of my allowance for the month.And then some number crunchers are only gonna see that it didnt sell well and we might have delayed releases and stuff.Which is worrying.So thats why i cant understand what they are thinking.Since they had Apex for like 7 months running as a beta for FH3

I'm not 100% sure but my assumption leans more toward yes, since it's redeemed on the same storefront. I think, and for the sake of those purchasing that way, hope that that's the case... Would be super dickish if Microsoft limited entirely to just direct purchases.

I will love this game and will put hundreds of hours into it, but you can tell this map was designed by tourists lol.

I will fully wait until I have explored the whole map when the game is released, but from what I have seen of the map in the demo so far and being an Aussie...I am a little unimpressed.

Not so much in the way that it's set out, but rather what could have been in there. Byron Bay, seriously? Sydney is one of the most iconic cities on the planet how is that not there. The great dividing range which in part is quite literally behind surfers paradise has some of the most awesome roads to drive on and is completely missing.

And I know this was just for the game and to make it fun (which it totally is) but we don't have dirt roads everywhere.

Really getting way too picky now, back to the demo to enjoy the shit out of it some more.

Yes they do, both code activation and direct store purchase are XPA.
