it's more about getting by on its style and characters
It's flashy and stylish enough. People conflate the otherness and style adoption as compelling content more and more these days. Previous Persona games didn't have the kind of substance to sustain me, although I found the way that they dressed them up appealing.
Like perusing a local Famima's shelves, when all you want are the scratch offs and Onigiri up front at the counter.
It'll be easy to excuse its shortcomings when people have preempted criticism by placing it into a category all its own.

going even back to the first two persona games. They were carried by the story and characters.
3 brought the slick style and aesthetics that the series is now known for and did it when the ps2 was already heading out the door.

That's just the dumbest shit. White folks have never had a problem being entertained by or having sex with us. It's whenever we remind them that we're human beings with wills of our own and not just toys for them to play with that they get pissed off. Having even just a small passing knowledge of our history should tell him that.

These dudes are celebrated, not because of their intellectual accomplishments, but because one is 7 foot and dunks well and the other raps well. Not because of logic and reason.
