Palmer Luckey issue statement on actions on Nimble America

Yeah that was an interesting statement. I dont think Facebook even wrote that for him. It seems like Facebooks lawyers might be figuring out a good way to get rid of him which could happen next week. If he stays there I'd be surprised.

Also Milo confirmed this was his billionaire friend according to a screenshot of a facebook post. Not sure if thats accurate.

I'll take the odds on this being the topic of next week's Jimquisition. Bet it's a two parter (If Chip doesn't fuck it up)

Jesus Christ there are admins everywhere

Including the one EvilLore who ruled them all. If juniors weren't walking on glass already....

I linked it for you. Just a few posts up.

It's really weird seeing you defend Palmer and Oculus while I'm shitting all over them.

I'm not defending him. What he has done is awful.

Thanks for linking the video. I just saw the same screen of it over and over while scrolling through, no link.

Well I'm going to try and get some sleep. My ebay thing has a bid on it so I'm already happy about that.

I just can't think of any other way to offset what I feel I did in helping Palmer get where he is today.

I retract my earlier post about wishing Facebook would put out their statement ASAP. News tends to die when posted on the weekend so perhaps they want to announce it when everyone is back at work and online. I really hope they take a stand and don't muff the punt so to speak. I can't see how Zuck would, though. From what I hear they are pretty big on equality and diversity. Whatever they do, it's going to set precedence and effect every single person who works there.

Just show 10 friends what you did and ask them to each tell 10 of their friends. The only way to get to people with lots of money is to mess with their money.

I won't be able to afford one right away, but I plan on it. I mean, I own a number of Steam VR games. I'll be getting PSVR next because I've already got money down on one.

All proceeds from my Rift sale go to Hillary Clinton ;)
But she'll just email Ben Ghazi again. He's a jerk and you shouldn't encourage that.

I like how I'm supposed to be mad about the "too big to jail" billboard when she literally weaseled her way out of the email scandal (despite the FBI director saying the consequences would have been severe for any other person)

So the statement beta test didn't quite go as planned.

Hopefully they iron out the bugs by the gold master release, or at least push a Day 1 patch.

One thing I don't understand in this shitstorm.

Why Palmer suddenly decide to tell a journalist that he is NimbleRichMan?

Did he want it to be known? If so why the alt account? If not why tell some reporter in written?

What was he thinking when he decided to semi-"disclose" his agenda? What is his endgame?

Thats wierd, i remember seeing and hearing his testimony before a GOP commitee that were he stated that no person could get indicted for what Hillary did and to do so would be a political attack.

I guess Cspan was lying to me.

Oh wait, no, Your talking point is more lies. Try again.

Thats literally the exact opposite of what Comey said.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

Are you supposed to be mad about only that one particular thing?

Also, that is not what the FBI said.

FlyinJ

Douchebag. Yes, me.
So Oculus/Facebook is cool with keeping a guy employed who gave Oculus/Facebook money to a racist/xenophobic/homophobic 4chan collective?

Well I'm cool with never putting any of my content onto an Oculus/Facebook platform.

1) 24 year olds have poor media skills.

2) Engineers have poor media skills.

All of them can be found here.

oh wow, yeah he totally tells you right here why he's lying to everyone's faces with this PR stunt, spells it out clearly in one of the questions too...odd that he was at least this self-aware but still this blatant, and by odd i mean egotistical and not very sharp

and yeah, props on the cuck & general alt-right lingo here

that's not only your takeaway from that exchange (which is wrong) but this one too huh

2) Engineers have poor media skills.

I have provided your leaders with that information. I am up there. Unfortunately, I have to be careful with any information that could let people figure out my exact identity. Our adversaries have enormous power, and the best way I can continue to fight the good fight is to keep doing well in business and funding good causes with the proceeeds."

lol holy shit. well that plan didn't work out the way he wanted...

I don't even understand this "plan". He ratted himself out! Did his ego take the wheel or something?

What the fuck are you talking about? That's like the exact opposite of what he said.
