Nobody's suggesting doing it for free. But if the game comes with all the original tracks etc it feels like a DLC expansion is more appropriate.
Umm.....

I thought the super ridiculousness of it was enough, but I'll take it into consideration next time.
Is the whole of the original Driveclub essentially included within this? It's all been a bit unclear. And do you know what the discount is? Assuming there's still going to be one.

There is truly some absolutely idiotic comments happening in this thread.
Simple analogy, new iPhone comes out once a year, specifically the 2nd year cycle of a 'S' model, same phone with minor changes in the guts and consumers are expected to pay the full price again (and line up to do it).
How can you literally not understand the basic model of 'Company works on product and pays people to make it'
'Consumer chooses to consume product and paid said company for product'
If you don't want to be a consumer then don't consume, but don't sit there and complain that you're not getting a 'deal' for the product that has changed and had work done to it.
Seriously, you can't be that daft?
Well, that's a pretty daft analogy seeing as the wages apple pay are miniscule, and you're mostly paying for actual physical hardware.

If you don't want to be a consumer then don't consume, but don't sit there and complain that you're not getting a 'deal', or suggest it's a bad deal for the consumers that want the product, for the product has changed and had work done to it.

Yes, you can be that daft or you're trolling to troll.Well, that's a pretty daft analogy seeing as the wages apple pay are miniscule, and you're mostly paying for actual physical hardware.

Very, very rough looking game. It's rough. But once you start driving and looking aeound you, you kinda stop caring. I thought farpoint was a bit cleaner but vr is a demanding technology and it shows.
Cmon guys, really?
Very, very rough looking game.
This isn't an expansion. Please stop making analogies you know are flawed.
It's aditional content and features. But yeah, not an expansion at all, it's actually a full remaster for a brand new generation of consoles like the other poster said.
I'm done here, keep on fighting.
Its an incentive for the master race.Your right, you don't.
How did all those pc developers manage to add vr without charging $40 for it? Look at Elite. Look at Project Cars.
........ I'm speechless even in sarcasmI still don't understand why you couldn't do all this for free.

You were just telling us that elite and project cars were doing for free ... what the heck
I mean look at that
Well he's not implying free per se, just a lot cheaper I guess.
But several people in this thread wanted it for free
I will always fight for developers who put in good work and ask to be compensated fairly for it.I'm done here, keep on fighting.
And then there comes Digital Foundry saying Driveclub VR is the single best VR racing experience yet. That may be because it isn't tacked on in a hurry but done with care. How did all those pc developers manage to add vr without charging $40 for it? Look at Elite. Look at Project Cars.

Are you talking about resolution? Apart from that the gameplay so far looked more than fine to me
Thank you...This isn't a PC port.
Enabling a PC based game for VR is comparatively straight forward due to the scale-able specs, but changing a 30fps console game on fixed hardware to work in VR required an entire new renderer and large amounts of optimisation.
Then we added a new Tour, new Trophies, new stats, new modes, new options, new tracks, etc. It took our whole team over a year - this wasn't just a case of adding VR support, it was about making a new game for VR.
I fucking hate the word entailment but really there is no other word to use to describe some posters here.
Price etc. got announced yesterday. Should be available for pre-order soon.
No such thing as a free lunch, as they say.lol I thought this would be a free patch for Driveclub owners, silly me

So the game description on Amazon.fr reveals what I think is new information ?
- 80 cars
- 114 tracks including new urban tracks
- new features including a "cruise" mode that will allow you to appreciate the beautiful landscapes and a new "virtual passenger" mode that will allow you to revive your best laps from the passenger's seat.
We knew about the 80 cars from the PS Blog, same for the five new urban tracks, but was it common knowledge that Driveclub VR had also the entire tracklist from the original game ? It sure wasn't clear for me and I don't think it was decently explained during the game announcement.

that would be so typical SCEE

Oh fuck that Passenger mode sounds AMAZING. I would love to put the headset on my wife while I drive around. I doubt that would be possible, but this is the next best thing.
Honestly I don't play racing games AT ALL but I'm seriously considering this game + wheel&pedals to go with my PSVR and Pro to blow people's minds
This is news to me. Previously it was described as having a mix of old and new tracks, so I certainly didn't assume they'd all be in there. Even better! So the game description on Amazon.fr reveals what I think is new information ?
