I forgot how ugly the famicom was.
Man I had a Famicom and this is really Nostalgia inducing more than the NES
Where is TwinBee
I know right.

Oh man look at the controller
Should be fine with all voltages right? I guess we'll find this out closer to release/by seeing an actual box, but I can't imagine needing a step down converter for this with a UK power supply. I'm just going to use my old iPhone USB plug socket.
you know you can use ANY usb AC Adapter, right? You probably know that and really want the Nintendo one..just thought I tell you to be sure
Pre ordered from amazon jp. I've been playing with the 8bitdo zero control pad recently so this thing will be like the original xbox controler in comparison
Why are there two different pages for it on Amazon Japan? One is 6156 Yens and the other 6458 Yens.
Well, when ordering the console itself was at only 5700 Yen so... Ordered. Too bad the AC adapter isn't available at the moment but I'll get it later.

I was hoping this would come with Castlevania III, the music in the japanese version is awesome.
this thing doesn't come with an AC adapter? damn it nintendo
Annoyingly enough, the AC adapter is now sold out from Amazon but available by a third party at 4X the price. I hope more show up from Amazon themselves.
EDIT: Jesus, even amiami is sold out on both systems and adapters. This thing is HOT.

I face the same problem right now
Input voltage is 5V (USB), so any phone adapter (external batteries or even plugged to a computer) will work. Just use one from your country.
BTW, will the TV USB port work for powering the system?
if it supports enough power, yes. the problem is we don't know exactly yet how much it needs to run. But a 2.1Ampere/5volt USB port should do the trick, maybe even less will work..
as far as I know, right now nintendo does not even sell an USB AC Adapter in germany..so we're forced to buy third party/use one we have from our phone or the one in the TV
I wonder if they attempted to, but couldn't emulate the VRC6 right
Thanks all for these posts.

I wish we got FF3 instead of 1... would have been the definitive way to play the game in English, not that lousy 3D remake.
Curious to see how this will do in Japan, and what the market will be. Lapsed gamers, children who mostly play mobile?
I don't get why they never did a 16-bit style remake of it. the 3D remakes are AWFUL
No, the NES mini comes with an AC adapter.Glad I ordered it last night then. Had no idea it doesn't come with the charger though.
Is it the same for the NES Mini, I also have that ordered from Target
So I'm buying this since I'm in Japan, but I actually prefer the NA lineup
They were, but then it got canned: http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2000/1487.html
because their's was a video game system and proud of it
ours was an entertainment system that looked like a VCR cause atari killed video games over in the west
Oh man look at the controller
No AC Adapter? Check
Badly designed controller cords? Check
Hardwired controllers? Check
Wow, what a fuck up this is compared to the US version.

Yeah it's pretty much sold out everywhere. Can't be that much of a fuckup seeing as it's sold out on Amazon Japan in less than a day, the only ones left are from resellers now asking for 11,000+ for one.
What's the point of pixel perfect? The ratio will be wrong in that mode, right?
Sure, but most people in the N3DS SNES VC thread seem to prefer it. It's good to have options.
You probably missed the first batch.Anyone else pre-ordered from Amazon got the December delivery date or was it just me?

No idea, this one looks smallerI wonder if you will be able to swap the internals?
Which of these changes make sense for the Japanese market? I can understand attached controllers since that was the original design for the Famicom, but it doesn't mean it's not an objectively worse form factor. Bleh. I'll probably have a friend / relative back in Mexico buy the NA version for me.I know, it's like it was created for an entirely different market.
