Okay.... my secondary team cannot handle elite, but at least they seem to be able to work with pro, with a little tweaking. Charlotte is the bomb as a tank. She guards the whole time, and takes virtually all the damage. Lightning with the area attack, Shantotto chaining Blizzard with guest mage, Garnett doing basically nothing, except casting Curaga from time to time in order to keep Lightning and guest alive...
It certainly isn't auto attack, but it works for the most part. Hopefully Celes and Garnett level up decently quickly. So far behind in this account that the event is pretty difficult

Grats on the full quest clear!
She's the only 3* unit on the banner. So, she's going to be super common.

Hard to say, as people aren't really pulling with passion on this banner (I wonder why?)
Delita seems to be the same as Lightning, around 1.5%
Gaff is kind of unknown. His reported rate is bouncing all over the place. I've seen anywhere from 5 to 7.5% thrown around today.
Alma has been bouncing around from 20-25% reported as the lone 3* unit on the banner.

Question - secondary account my team is simply not strong enough to run ELT dungeon, and has to settle for pro. Will I have enough time to farm the mats for Lightning, get the shield, and most of the tickets? Don't think I can do so
I'm not sure I'll have enough time, so need to prioritize. Is it really 8000 shards just to get the mats to awaken Lightning? The shield is easy, and I'd love the Katana but I don't think I will have the time. I'm thinking cheap tickets first, then the mats for Lightning, shield, and tickets with what is left...

Do the first tickets draw first since it's cheaper. 4 pulls is enough.... for some Shannato and vivi.
I finally have ELT on lock as long as I can bring a 290+ MAG friend.
My party: Lenna with Ice Rod, Tellah, Kefka, Vaan, Warrior of Light.
Question: Focus is removed between rounds, correct? I've added as much MP as I can to my Vaan so he can cast Focus 4 times, on the last 4 rounds. WoL I have Full Break the named guy on 1-5, and the guy starting with W on the boss. Everyone else I have cast Blizzara/ga in order of their MAG low->high, and I've had 100% success.
I don't have any other levled units with Blizzaga, but Vaan and WoL are working fine.
Anyway anyone that has me on friends I swapped from Lightning to Kefka (317 MAG) for this event. I'll eventually switch back. I could also throw my Vaan into the friend slot if that would help better.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I leveled my Celes and put the ice staff on Lenna and have Tellah and Exdeath plus a friend mage for the elemental chain. Easy that way, reduced the time it takes me for the fights. I also bring Garland and have him use raging fist if one gets out of it alive. With his innate man eater, he packs quite a punch.

Sera is an absolute game changer. Can elite consistently with 2 300 mag Kefkas, a 290ish Tellah, and a 180ish Shinnato or whatever her name is. I've passed with friends as low as 270 mag as long as I sing her magic song.
Think I am going quartz first then tickets then katana. I have Cecil and Bartz but I don't think their 6* is coming soon. Same with Kefka and Terra.

my team is 300 Kefka, 290 Exdeath, 190 Kuja, Golbez, Celes
i don't even use Celes'focus at all and i can one turn kill every enemies in ELT
granted i have to do it manually for the boss.
Since my Kefka only has 291 MAG, I put my Sarah up for anyone that doesn't have her. 613 905 040 if you don't have me yet.
291 is quite strong. I take that over Sarah.

The things I want for this event are:
Shield: 400 shards
Sword 3700 shards
Tickets: 6200 shards
SQ: 1100 shards
Awakening mats: 8000 shards per 6*
Total: 19400 shards
With 8 hours regular sleep and rank 50 I have 252 NRG to use each day + 21 from the daily quests for 273 total.
Exclusively running ELT that's about 1820 shards a day or ~25000 for the whole event. Not quite enough for a second 6* awakening set unfortunately, and that's assuming I use every NRG perfectly.
PRO is easier since you can just auto it but you get fewer shards. Running just PRO gives me ~1365 shards a day and ~19000 total.
Basically, it's pointless for me to try for all the mats for a second 6*, and if I stick with ELT for a while and then switch to PRO I should have more than I need by the end of the event.
Also, leftover shards can sell for 50 gold, just like the cakes (though much harder to get).
Edit: Shoot, forgot about the rank exp. It's about 18k to rank up at 50. Assuming 250 ELT runs over two weeks that's enough for 10ish ranks, which is another 4000 shards. Well shoot, now it looks like it is possible to get two sets of awakening materials. Not sure I'm willing to try that hard for it though.

I could not do it without her, my only other team option was a Laswell at like 170 magic (enhancer and magic shield). I could not do the boss battle, even manually.

thats the same materials (in type and quantity) for all the 6star units. Look at Lightning, Bartz, Cecil... its the same mats in the same quantity each.
What's some good gear for Celes for this event? I have her almost to 80, but no idea what she should be using for this. I'll probably roll with Exdeath, Kefka and maybe someone else's character. I'll have to see. I doubt I'll spend a whole lot of time farming materials since that would be an insane amount of farming....
I've got as few as 41, but the wiki says 50.
I really like this event a lot, I almost want to use lapis for more energy to keep doing runs.
Ugh just got 91 in ELT. Feelsbadman, give me 100+.

so i just need to gather the material and use it for whoever got the first 6 awakening.
Because I have my better gear on my Kefka and Tellah I'm using this on Celes:
Enhancer, Stellar Shield, Mage's Hat, (EDIT: Mage's Habit, as she can't use robes) and two Hero Rings.

I just cleared D-3.... yeah.
500 lapis for D-1? Sweet.
Elixir for D-2? Ehhh.... ok.
MAG+10% for D-3? Umm... WTF?
What's next? An HP+10%? Or we demoting all the way back to potions?

Don't expect any more cactaurs after tonight until Cactaur Dunes next weekend.

How hard is it to get Enhancer? I'm afraid to try for it, but it would be a nice weapon to have.

Yes. The trend of 500 lapis per clear for X-1 appears to be continuing.
It's just the prizes after that seem be incredibly underwhelming for the difficulty factor.
Reddit says the D-4 bosses (plural intended) are a ton of fun.

I know the feel. I've had more 81 runs than I'd care for today
Had one 121 run which was nice, but those 81 to 91 runs have been too common for my liking. It doesn't seem like that much of a difference, but that shit adds up to being a real bummer.TheChillyAcademic

Do we know what the best shield in the game is thus far?
Depends on what you want out of the shield. For pure defense it is either the Aegis Shield (GL) or Empire Shield (JP).

People are talking about being unable to handle Elite and having to farm Pro. I can't even do Pro! I think I'm just super behind in content. I really want that sword and shield though, since they apparently don't come back.
I'm still wondering what I should run.
Ideally, I like to get ahead so Elite would be better.
But with Pro, I can bring in characters I want to level and will end up with much more rank. Right now I'm sitting at 2.1k Stones, made 1.6k, even with failing elite several times.
What I'm weighing now is getting back to TM farming quicker or more build up for the future 6* or a higher rank with more leveled characters. I feel like the latter is the best, then I don't need to go out of my way.
It's funny, normal people get overwhelmed by items, I get overwhelmed by stats -_-

Just gotta add my +1 to whoever thought of using Sarah. That made it SO much easier for me. Still have to manually select spells every turn, but as long as I have a good enough friend unit, I can clear every stage in one turn now. Ended up with 1300 or so auracite today, not too shabby. No Lightning for me, so I'm just gonna concentrate on getting the other stuff.

If you have a silver key to burn, you can use it in the ADV exploration to get enough shards to buy the components for the shield outright from the Mog King.
If you can't clear PRO yet, then you probably need to farm ADV for the entire two weeks to get enough shards for the sword components. If you do open the silver chest, you could hold onto the shards, just in case you don't quite get there for the sword from ADV shard farming.
