Forza Horizon 3 |OT| uozoH zo

My "workflow" at the end-game is to filter the map for specific event types, then try to find/tune a car to maximise for those events. So I spent last night just trying to three-star all the Danger Signs, etc. I like the focus of doing it that way.

I find it a bit annoying that you can´t filter the map "for good".

I´d be ok if I never had to see a custom blueprint or a driftzone again.

Well unfortunately that's the whole theme of this game. You get to decide everything. I prefer to be told what to do (or pointed in some direction) and that's why I don't enjoy "endgame" in FH3 as much as I did in FH2.

I feel exactly the same. I ended up playing FH2 for about 100hrs because of it. I cannot see myself doing the same with this one unfortunately.

Yeah I get your angle, they should have had something to cater for both maybe?

I like the fact that you can choose the cars and tracks in the actual races, but just wished there was a little more of a pathway in the end game content, the icons on the map are just mind boggling and I just sit there thinking, what now!.

I went for collecting all the signs, just turned off everything else on the map filters. Then I went for speed challenges, then drift (where I am at), then jumps most likely.

Whenever I get sick of those I try to take every exhibition race, then make championships to get both the exhibition and championship icons on each route painted in gold!

Yeah, maybe judicious use of the map filter is the way to go, but yeah, it's a shame the filters aren't permanent.

Now that I've raced on every road course multiple times I'd say the road tracks are growing on me. My only "problem" is one completely manufactured by myself. A few of my tunes I've made in A and S class are light years ahead of anything else I have so I've only been using a handful of different cars over the last several days.

Also after spending many hours doing 10 race Championships before realizing only the first race counts towards your progress I've resorted to just doing three 1 lap race championships until I 100% the game (I have ~14 championships left). I can't wait until I'm done that so I can get back to proper full length races lol. There's so much to do in this game especially with Rivals and all of that.

Guys what is actually the best way to play with fellow GAFers? I still haven't figured it out. I usually just joined Zorbs when he was online. Is there no way to see in the club who is running a group right now?

After the final showcase, I am starting to feel a little malaise, there is a bit of a lack of direction, especially with a map that is literally stuffed to the gunnels with icons.

Interested in hearing other peoples "workflow" with the game once the showcases and festivals are updated.

It's all very well having a large amount of content, but it (at least to me) becomes a bit "rabbit in the headlights" when faced with a map full of icons, and no direction from the game.

I went round the map and did every exhibition first.
Now I'm going round and doing every championship with the default type of car.
After that I'll try other peoples blueprints.
I'll keep the street races and bucket lists till the end.

I do understand gripes about progression somewhat, but I feel like the benefits of how PG organized the game far outweigh the negatives.

For more personally, I'll be playing the SP aspect of this game until FH4 comes out, and that certainly wasn't the case with FH2. By the end, it was online or nothing.

The fact that I can set up a 10-course, 100+ mile series with classic muscle cars or whatever I'm in the mood for is amazing.

I agree 100%, that side of it is perfect, but I just wish there was some kind of funnel for that content, some kind of pathway, you could easily still be able to choose car class and tracks and still have a breadcrumb path, it needs a bit more polish to the gameplay loop.

For winning races and content, you get three things, CR, XP, and skill points.

XP and skill points are arguably finite resources, the turnover of XP to tombola wins isn't high enough for gaining a level to win a spin to be a significant focus, so XP, after a certain level, pushing for levels via XP doesn't have much of a draw for end game, skill points are again finite, ok so there are repeating rewards you can buy for the skill pages, but again not much of a draw for end game.

CR is probably the biggest focus, as buying and upgrading cars pretty much is the end game (arguably finite, but I dare anyone to buy and upgrade all cars!).

I know that it's not destiny, but it's a shame, because the driving model is so, so good, that a coherent and compulsive end game would make it something really really special.

No there isn't and it's a missed feature. It wasn't in Horizon 2 either. I would imagine the idea of a car club would be to make online grouping easier. I'm sure it's super complicated on their end and it's easy to say this now that the game is done. But a simple green dot beside club members that are actually online would be helpful. Or a "invite club" to online adventure. If not the entire club, which would be stressful with a club of our size, at least give me the option to invite up to 11 players from the club. The only way to see if a member is racing online is if that tab in the menu pops up. And I've had that not be there when I know someone is racing online.

I'm always up for racing online, either coop campaign or online adventure. So if folks want to race and I'm online shoot me a message. Also now that everyone is comfortable with the game maybe would should figure out times/days we can get a group together and do some races.

Hmm that does suck. Yeah an invite feature int he clubs would be nice. Maybe it will all be easier once the system level clubs are out for everyone. I am not in the preview program so I can't use that.

The system club seems more useful. You can invite from the club with that. But then we have to tell people to get into 2 clubs. oh boy. :)

Love this game. Would love it even more if the wheel spins were a little kinder to me.

I'm only level 30 something and have got one HE car. It's a Ford GT which nets double the credits which is nice, but it's a beast to drive.

I've got a van, and some other random cars too, and lots of credit, but no other HE cars. Would love some new toys.

Also, whats a way to earn lots of credits? I dont buy a ton of cars and I try to look for auction house stuff on the cheap, but I feel like I should have more credits than I currently do. I want to spend!!!

Bucket List #23 (forge your own path) is one of the most fun and challenging things I've ever done in a video game. You could build a whole game around more challenges like that.

.

I amazingly was able to do it the first time. I basically just ran straight for city.

Sure, I had to rewind a couple of times because of the damn trees, but I made it. I was surprised myself when I actually did it with enough time to spare.

The one that was giving me the most problems was #15. Always had a bit of trouble getting around that final turn before the camera to get 150. I was usually 2 MPH under. Finally got it though.

Level 139 and I got 2 (bought 2 more)

You're lucky ;)

Well we just need people to get into ForzaGAF once though. Then it could be used for every game. That seems easier.

Yeah, I agree. We should definitely be pushing more for people to join the actual ForzaGAF Xbox group. Would make a lot of this shit easier when each new Forza comes out.

A question: Added my gamertag to spreadsheet and asked to join through the game but nothing. I did right?

You did. We get a TON of requests, so it is easy to accidentally delete the wrong person. If you send one of use (Zorbs/Noobcraft, me, StunWar) a message in Live, we will make sure you get in.

Started a new game with a different profile without my Forza rewards* bonuses or any grinding... very interesting... enjoying it quite a bit now that I am not obsessed with getting all of my favorite cars. Just enjoying what I can afford, although at this point the AH makes it pretty easy to stock up cheap on decent cars.

Will go back to my original save soon just enjoying starting over a bit... great game

The game gives you a ton of events, but no incentive to do them. You aren't even required to win anything besides showcase events to finish the campaign.

The longevity will be racing online really.

PGG should start giving us crazy goals.. Like, jump and land on the moving train... Or drive on a sattelite dish or something crazy like tow a plane or dump truck racing...

Made a crappy phPBB forum once ... once.
What have they done to this fucking game?

Last lap of any race now some fucking drivatar will come from nowhere overtake you at about 30/40 mph faster than you are going and you always finish second.

You know what FH3 needs...

Not happening to me. I just won my first 10+ lap Goliath on Unbeatable, and that track over long periods is FH3 AI at its worst.

Anyone have a good tune for the Jaguar F Type HE? Looking for one for the Goliath races and cleaning up a bunch of others as well.

I've progressed pretty far. I've got all 15 barn finds, the festival sites are all unlocked and upgraded ,etc.

I'm trying to get everything knocked out so I spent the skill points to buy "fast travel anywhere" and "buy extra prize spins."

So far I've gotten two HE cars: the BAC Mono and the Mini Cooper.

Easily my GotY. The hours just melt away whenever I play this game.

I don't understand why they don't just use a rivals format for the championships like NFS Most Wanted. Would be easy as hell to implement and satisfy people who like structured progression.

I swear I get a better rush from winning an auction than I do winning a race at the moment. I just picked up my most wanted he car, the countach, for around 600k. I'll take it. I think the BAC is the last one I would like to have for now. too bad i also snagged the vette he tonight so i don't have the funds to compete at the moment.

Finally got all H.E. cars from this batch.

I still have two H.E. auctions outstanding, but at ~460 spins purchased I'm averaging $43K per spin.

That includes face value for cars I needed for my garage, 50% for those I didn't and whatever the H.E. cars sold for in auction.

(I also never took advantage of the borked PC value for H.E. cars.)

Not too bad considering I got all H.E. cars through spins, either leveling up or paid for.

holy crap. the countach he car is amazing. i can't believe how well it handles on dirt roads. not complete offroad but dirt roads. so much fun. it's my new rally beast.

The Countach is the last one from the new batch that I need. I'll probably end up buying it off the auction house because after spending 5+ million on wheel spins trying to get it I've won nothing but HE cars I already own. What a waste haha.

Once the new update is actually out for everyone. ;)
Yep. Waiting for that and the community features like tournaments and chat to be functional before it's really worth it. There are almost 100 people in the ForzaGAF club despite it being preview only so far so that's pretty great.

I'm actually finding paying for spins much, much more economical than trying to get HE cars from the auction house, not only does the auction house take a dogs age, the prices aren't great unless you spend a lot of time on it.

I seem to get good luck from spins, I spin 10 times this morning and got two HE cars.
