What ladder? The one next to the bridge? Already been there.
Cut the bridge down and it becomes a ladder.

My thoughts exactly. DS3 is one of my favorite games ever, but I'm toocheapfrugal to justify spending $15 on only a couple hours of content.
Cut the bridge down and it becomes a ladder.
I don't think the DLC for Dark Souls games ever had trophies? only Bloodborne
main boss was really cool and obviously Bloodborne inspired, other boss was disappointing, not particularly creative and didn't feel like much of a boss, all in all the DLC was pretty good but I'm really hoping the second will deliver something on par with DS1's and BB's
Oh come on From. Boss spoilersHow many health bars are you going to put on this boss.
phases???THREE
Oh come on! You're just taking the piss now
Keep on going and it'll lead you to where you need to go. Just start exploring and you'll find it.What ladder? The one next to the bridge? Already been there.
You pretty much need not to get hit one the first and the second phases.
It's gonna takes sometime to learn the moveset, but when it clicks it clicks.
Bloody Palace would be hype. For dlc 2 I want bloody palace mode , you gave the pvp players something , it's our turn now.
Does anyone else think thetake wierd damage. I hit them a few times and most of their health bar is still intact, them I him them one more time and they die. I killed two of them still thinking they had most of their life.giant wolves
Also, why is this gamemaking me kill wolves
They're just chilling and not bothering anyone but I need to go through them and they think I'm hostile.
That's fair. You'll probably fight the two bosses back to back and then I wonder if your opinion changes at all. Like for instance, I was kinda expecting:
Reasonably Large Area ->Boss -> good size optional area -> Optional boss
Instead I got.
Reasonably Large Area ->Boss -> Optional Boss right after.
It ends abruptly and I think makes it feel small at the end.
Well, that was one of the most disappointing pieces of DLC I've played in a long time. Thought most of the new enemies felt gimmicky, the final boss sucked. The other boss was ok but only because of the arena itself.
Would feel ripped off if it wasn't for the PvP mode, being able to play that with friends is good enough for me.
I felt the same way. Didn't want to kill them.Does anyone else think thetake wierd damage. I hit them a few times and most of their health bar is still intact, them I him them one more time and they die. I killed two of them still thinking they had most of their life.giant wolves

there's literally zero gimmicks in the enemies. Like, zero. They walk in packs, i guess?
nice gimmick.
the final boss sucked. The other boss was ok but only because of the arena itself.
Really?was amazing and full of surprises, why didn't you like it?Sister Friede and Ariandel's fight
Yeah this boss is just something else. They actually put every worst mechanic they could into it and called it a day.
I think I beat it in about three hours? Maybe three and a half. When people say its "short" how short are we talking? Dont think DS3 was a bad game but found it to have the least longevity for me out of any of the games so hearing the DLC is short is offputting
You have a multi-phase fight, but with multiple health bars instead of one bigger one. I dislike that already, one of the reasons I liked the Maria fight in Bloodborne is because you saw one health bar and needed to get it to zero. I have to kill the same character three separate times, and she fights similar in all three phases. I dislike how boring the second stage is because in general I hate multi-character boss fights unless they bring something new. On top of that, it feels like there is no reward for beating her. You get the soul sure, but there's no cutscene, no weapon drop, no secret area, nadda.
Pretty good so far, I like that there's a lot to explore in the areas I've been to. Not a lot of surprises or challenge yet (I'm level 80ish), expect for those. Fighting them is a lot of fun and feels fresh.Voldo-looking creatures
Does either thein the beginning area orgiant wolfin the next area count as one of the 2 bosses?the knight Wilhelm
But I suspect there is something to do with the Painter, but nobody knows yet at the moment. But if in the end, there is nothing, well, I'll be pretty disappointed.
are the three main ones.Trees that may or may not activate, wolf pack stuff, archers with knockback
Personally, I'm okay with multi-phase fight as long as the boss doesn't have a gazillion of HP. I thought it was okay here, just that the 3rd phase was too difficult for me on solo, but clearly not impossible.
I don't like multi-character boss fights either, but when it's done well like the Deacons or the Abyss Watchers, no problem with it. But yeah, Friede and Ariandel feels a bit messy though, I think.
I agree about the feeling of "no reward". But I suspect there is something to do with the Painter, but nobody knows yet at the moment. But if in the end, there is nothing, well, I'll be pretty disappointed.

stuff like that exists in all dark souls game's and are pretty standard. I would definitely not define them as gimmick (especially because they are pretty easy to counter)
archers with knockback go all the way back to DS1.
Movie prices are horrible value indicators though.eh, a 1.5 hour long movie is about that much and it's a one-and-done experience.
then again i grew up w 80s/90s videogame prices, as long as it's good, i'll buy it. i bought TMNTIV for SNES new and you can beat that game in 45 mins. and i had already rented and beaten it!
The scaling in the DLC is definitely bad.I feel like I'm a bit overleveled for this at 80, especially with all that estus.
I didn't say they were new gimmicks, I just didn't think they were executed well. Anor Londo was new in DS1, the archer gauntlet was new and novel.Seeing a knockoff in this DLC just felt lame.
Kind of, is what I'll give you for one of them.
Neither of those counts. The boss fights are the full "hp on the middle of the screen" fights.
I wouldn't be surprised if that's it, and she just serves to explain who painted the painting in Dark Souls 1. But she does talk about Gael looking for her "final pigment" and she makes it sound like that pigment is the "dark soul of man". So maybe continued in DLC2.
"There are a couple of different aspects in Dark Souls 3 DLC that we are trying to achieve, but one of them is a continuation of story between the 2 DLCs. This is something new that we are taking on."
phases???THREE
Oh come on! You're just taking the piss now
Buuut still, this is so frustrating D:
It's not a "real" place though. It's pretty much an alternate dimension.I really wish the DLCs would have tied to main game areas somehow. Getting transported to another world seems like a cheap way to take when there are pathways and doors that could've been added. Like that damn right door in Anor Londo.
I thought the 2nd part was not as great. FROM just threw mobs upon mobs with bleeding mechanics to activate the final boss. There wasn't anything methodical about it. Either carry a torch or haul ass. That final boss is saved by the presentation because holy fuck does it get tedious. The first boss was really disappointing on all fronts. The first area with the wolves and trees is hot garbage, but it gets much better as you go on. The length of the DLC is okay, but it definitely leaves something to be desired. I'd say the review scores are on the money.
I enjoyed my time with it well enough, but it's not their best piece of DLC, that's for sure.
