This computer, along with the dial, feels like it is fulfilling the decades-old promise of a true digital desktop.

I have to say though, this event has me kind of worried about the price of the Xbox Scorpio. It seems like they have absolutely no issues having incredibly premium priced devices as a part of their portfolio.

Surface and Xbox are 2 completely different demographics and Microsoft knows that, I don't expect the Scorpio to be anymore than $450 considering it's still a year away.

That is where the OEMs come in; HP, DELL, etc.. And they build the 'cheaper' versions of the next XBOX. I'm calling it right now this is what is going to happen.

But its high end and intended for professionals

Scorp is the same for console gamers

The console space is all about cheap devices. Microsoft gets this and knows that gaming PCs are the premium space and that's why they are extending Xbox to PC without being afraid of canibalizing sales.

Also, this presentation makes the fact that the iPad Pro runs iOS even more baffling.

Yep, the elite controller elevates that notion.

I'm starting to doubt

But guys, the good news is that the NEW Surface Book (2) next year should be DCI P3 compatible. Which basically shits on the BS Apple is trying to pass off

Why? 5K iMac, iPad Pro and iPhone 7 are all DCI-P3. Tomorrow the new MacBook Pros are likely to also feature DCI-P3.

Xbox is a consumption device. You play games on it and thats it. Surface line are producer devices. You create shit with it.

Both attract 2 very different types of people and fall into 2 very different categories. Why would scorpio be any more expensive than the One?

Even the One had to rapidly drop in price to compete with PS4. People aren't gonna drop a ton of money on a console no matter how powerful and they are aware of this, they just recently learned their lesson with the One.

Also motionbook looks cool af.

Apple continues to have amazing screens but Microsoft putting touch capabilities and a great pen to go with them kinda makes them lacking.
