Custom Configuration Files
Similar to the first game, Titanfall 2 allows users to execute a .cfg file containing console commands on startup. As the game runs on a modified Source engine, the console commands are almost always the same as those found in standard Source games. Some commands are locked down, and cannot be changed.
For example, having a file containing the command "cl_showfps 1" in a file named "autoexec.cfg" located at "Titanfall2/r2/autoexec.cfg" and then adding "+exec autoexec.cfg" to your launch options to run the file will enable a FPS counter in the corner of the screen.
Experiment with configurations and share them with others!
Example config:
Code:
m_rawinput 1
cl_showfps 1
cl_showpos 2
Useful Launch Options
Note: these options are meant to be added in the "Advanced Launch Options" tab of the "Game Properties" option in Origin. Options with a "+" in front can be placed into a configuration file executed with the "+exec" launch option.
-high: Launch the game with high CPU priority.
-novid: Skip the intro logos.
-fullscreen: Launch the game in fullscreen mode.
-windowed: Launch the game in windowed mode.
-noborder: Launch the game in borderless mode. Combine with -windowed to get borderless fullscreen.
-height/-width <value>: Set the resolution of the game. Use this if your resolution is capped to a low value in the in-game options.
+cl_showfps 1: Shows FPS in the top right corner.
+cl_showpos 2: Show information about your player's position, such as their current velocity, in the top left corner.
+m_rawinput 1: Enable raw mouse input.
+exec <file>: Run the file specified (must be in the Titanfall2/r2 directory) at startup in the game's console.

Issues and Workarounds
- Capped Resolution: If you're getting locked into a resolution lower than that of your monitor, add -height <value> -width <value> to your launch options, where the values correspond to your desired resolution.
- Removing Film Grain: This doesn't seem to be a true film grain effect, so it seemingly can't be disabled outright. Decrease the brightness in the options to slightly mitigate it.
