I heard back from my friend. She's going to look into the promo and test it before she leaves work, then text me back.

She apologized and said it's tough when there's so many promos. I said I understood, which I do, and that I don't blame the CSRs at all. The computer usually does it automatically.

Just got back from picking up my PS4 Pro from EB Games. Asked about the $50. The district manager was there. They told me they didn't stack, but he called someone and then told me they would allow it. $240, before tax, for the PS4 Pro is insane. Since I live in Nova Scotia, I was able to knock off $299 CAD, post-tax. Also threw in some Biogenik thumbstick covers, for free. I highly recommend those, trading in their PS4 at EB Games, to mention this.

Edit: I had read about some 10%, but didn't ask about it as I thought it was for games. Had a hard enough time getting the other two stacked.

Trump will almost assuredly be scrapping any and all environmental initiatives Obama may have had coming down the pipe while Canada takes the opposite approach and goes all in by levying a carbon tax. Canada is going to become even less competitive than they are now in the next few years.

Trudeau staying the course on his climate change agenda while our neighbors to the south completely ignore the environment is tantamount to pissing in the wind. It might make us feel better about ourselves and look good on the world stage but it's going to cause our economy further hardship. Some analysts are now predicting the loonie to drop further to 70 cents in the next few months alone.

My friend, the manager, just called me.

She went through and did a mock transaction, and saw that the promos do stack. The $210 trade-in, plus the $50 rebate; not the 10%. Apparently the fine print on the 10% bump says it doesn't stack when she reads it on her system.

I gave her the numbers on my receipt, and the time, and she was able to look it up. Apparently it shows that the $50 rebate wasn't added. So, if I go in now, I can get it. She won't be there, but her assistant is until 6.

She apologized, but I don't blame them and am not mad. It's kind of annoying having to drive back up there, as it's 15-20 minutes, but oh well. I have time. I only went early because my grandparents needed me to drive them to an appointment.

I was able to get that Trade 5 get $100 deal when it was first up a couple weeks ago and sold my PS4 for $350.

In the end I paid $47 out of pocket for my PS4 Pro.

Glad I sold privately. All this EB confusion is best avoided.

Most of them were dupes or things like that from PS+, remasters or steam.

Now to switch the HDD after making sure all my saves are uploaded on PS+.

They also gave me some thumb grips for free.

I got the $50! I'm glad I didn't sell my ps4 to that asshat on kijiji as I ended up getting almost $300 off.

It was a pain for the guy to redo and i felt bad plus apologized. He had to delete the transaction and redo everything.

FYI, PS4 Pro is one per person

And I'm at Cineplex now. They would not let me buy a gift card with another gift card. So I broke down and bought one $40 gift card so that I could get the coupons.

I'm sure i will use it eventually.

Amazon is up in the air. I want to say 2pm PST like Amazon US, but Amazon CAN has been proven time and again to do whatever they want. It's completely up in the air. I'll be keeping an eye out and will update here if I happen to see it pop up .

Yeah, you can trade in an older system (Wii,360,PS3,Vita,3DS) and get the regular value + 50 off. It makes otherwise shitty trade values pretty decent. PS3 slim and Vita are like 50 so 100 off isnt bad.

I forgot to add. It will be $499.99 - $251.25 = $248.74 + taxes. It will be applied before taxes. That's why it's a great deal if you are not that keen on selling it to Kijiji or likes.

They charge you full price and then refund you the amount you would have gotten on the trade in, when you come back.
