Statements by Jeremy Latcham informed us that Phase 4 of MCU will be changing things up quite a bit. I'd expect to see characters in MvC4 that may not seem immediately relevant but will in the not too distant future. I wonder if any of the below could be possibilities, along with some obvious ones.

Wasp
Doc Oc
Green Goblin
Sandman
Whatever other villain(s) in the upcoming Spidey movie.

Im half expecting them to snub X and put original Mega Man in and use some stuff from Smash Bros as a base.
Would be cash as fuck to see Mickey mouse doing aerial raves. Then have Minnie come in with the thc and tod combos.
No Darkstalkers in this game would cause a massive riot. Everybody loves their Irish Succubus in their life, pros and ordinary joes.
I don't think they can get away without a Rival Schools/Project Justice or Power Stone rep either.
I also would like Maximo over Arthur but I think Arthur would get in.

To make up for MVC3, we should get Classic Mega Man and X.
Gonna wait and see but I assume that they're not stripping out all X-men characters entirely, just including characters that are more relevant to the comics these days (which the Xmen haven't really been for a while).
Wolverine (either X-23 or Old Logan) and Magento are pretty relevant still... so gonna wait and see for some official coverage before buying the Polygon story.
Either way, love to see some different characters on the roster. Everyone on this team needs to be in the game:

Sucks about no X-Men characters - I used Justin's team as my own (Wolverine, Storm, Akuma) and I enjoyed playing as Magneto and Sentinel as well. Does that mean Deadpool, Phoenix, and X-23 are gone too? They be potential DLC down the road, but that is wishful thinking. I'm sure there would be good substitutes in place of them though.
And what's this good news for UMVC3 - a remaster, port, and/or patch? It would be icing on the cake!

Full Marvel roster, and that's just with people who have actually appeared (or will for sure appear) in the MCU. Once you add in other characters from these properties that haven't shown up in the films, like Venom or whatever, it's easy to see how a roster can easily be built.
Darkstalkers somehow completely slipped my mind. I'd like to see Morrigan and Hsien-Ko return along with the addition of Jon Talbain, B.B Hood, or Sasquatch.
