I can't even describe how happy i am that both Kiwami and 6 will be coming West!!

Now if only we could get Ishin too!!

This is super exciting, but I'm still wondering why they never brought over the HD collection. It would be the best way to get new people into the series.

And yeah I know Kiwami is a remake of 1, but it would be weird to go straight from that to 2. Plus, 2 is still hard to come by.

also, after playing the 6 demo I'm SO glad this is coming to the west. This game is on a completely different level. It NEEDS to be played by everyone.

This announcement alone made this show better than e3. The naughty dog 1-2 punch was the icing on the cake.

Kiwami AND 6 is such a beautiful announcement. So excited now. So many Yakuza games to play. :D

Yakuza 0 and Kiwami both next tear...2017 is insane.

You'll be fine, bar actually understanding the story you'll be able to complete the game just fine (heck, its what I've been doing all these years as I slowly learn). Stuff will be marked on the map and the to do list highlights all story and side missions for you to complete, and the rest can be picked up easy if the demo is anything to go by. Oh, and there will be wikis and most likely at least one English translation of the story done on Youtube to give you the gist of things.

I won't be canceling my Japanese pre order, I can't wait another year to get my hands on 6 (the demo hyped me up considerably!) but I'm so glad to see both 6 and Kiwami getting English releases so quick compared to the bad old days.

Announcing the two games at the same time the way he did was too much for ny heart. I was legit in a coughing fit for the rest of the conference.

Honestly, I thought the chances of seeing one or the other were even. Kiwami is the perfect transition after 0 but it's not mainline, while 6 is the next mainline game.

The odds of BOTH THOUGH!? Did not expect that at all.

Both were nebulous at best, you COULD make the case of Kiwami being a candidate for not being a demanding localization as 6 is likely to be.

Personally I suspected that Kiwami was going to happen, but it's coming earlier than I anticipated, Gio announcing 6 along side it was a huge surprise...and quite frankly I'm overjoyed at these announcements.

Yeah, we're just on a different sync of Yakuza announcements now. I'm going to be disappointed if any Yakuza game is announced at TGS and we don't get a PSX announcement 18 months later.

Wait, I just realized I get to play Y0 in January and then just a few short months later I get to play Kiwami, and then maybe 6-8 months later I get to play Y6.

I'm fucking dying here.

Hmm, I picked up 1 awhile ago, but some stuff came up and I never got very far into it.

Do I restart it or just wait for Kiwami?

Regardless, I'm going to pick it up because I want to see more of them make it over here.

I know, right?

And the best thing is that now I can play Y0 without ANY worries that it might be my last Yakuza game. Dear God, this is a an amazing time we live in.

There's almost nothing that could make me more excited for 2017. Two Yakuza games in one year, and another less than a year later, is nuts.

4 Yakuza localizations in 2-3 years? Someone must be looking out for this series overseas ala Dragon Quest cause I'm sure the sales of 5 wouldn't have made them go "holy crap we need to bring them all over now aaaaah!" o.o

Depending on how "summer" Kiwami's date is I may end up maybe getting a PS4 before next holiday season!

My bad! Felt like an eternity, regardless haha!

I truly never expect Ishin to arrive. What would they call it, "Yakuza Ishin"? Wouldn't make any sense. I didn't honestly expect Kiwami to make it over either, but boy am I glad they did. People will buy Yakuza 0, then can seamlessly move over to Kiwami, then unfortunately we have the gap of Yakuza 2.

Yakuza 3-4-5 are relatively easy to find on PS3 still. But Yakuza 2 is pretty expensive. Glad I picked up a few copies when I did.
