The Resident Evil 7 Collector's Edition brings horror home. Full of unique goodies with models based on items and locations from Resident Evil 7 biohazard, this Collector's Edition is sure to be the centerpiece of any fan's collection.

The standout of course is the model replica Baker mansion standing at 8" in height, 7.5" in length, and 8.5" in depth, doubling as a music box that plays a familiar tune with accompanying LED effects. This is also your chance to own the dummy finger, the very same one that has haunted fans since the game's announcement. That's not all, though; also included is a metal case for the game, a lithograph showcasing the Baker family in all their mystique, a video tape box for the dummy finger, and a creepy note from one of the mansion's residents.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard Collector's Edition Includes:
-Resident Evil 7 biohazard Base Game
-Mansion Music Box (8'' Tall) that plays a sample of Aunt Rhody with accompanying LED effects.
-Dummy Finger 4G USB Drive
-Exclusive Metal Case
-VHS Tape Box
-Exclusive Lithograph
-Creepy Note
-Premium Packaging

180 bucks and it doesn't even include the season pass. WTH.

I'd buy the hell out of a Spencer Mansion music box that played Moonlight Sonata.

I like CE's with stuff you can display. Figurines are always good (I collect various ones anyway and display them).

That music box would be good except I doubt I'd ever give a shit about that house so do not care to display it.

CE's with replica notepads, rings, belt buckles etc are worthless tat to me. The finger USB is my idea of dogshit CE material.

Pretty much at the end of episode 4 of Revelations 2. While I enjoyed episodes 1 and 2 alot, episode 3 really kicked things up a notch and it hasn't let off since (imo) even if episode 4-1 was a lot shorter than the rest.

Relly hope we get a revelations 3 at some point. With 7 out in jan and remake 2 seemingly a long way off, I wonder if another episodic title could weasel its way in to the line up, or will the focus be on getting remake 2 out?

We have no idea what the time timeline or context to that photo is. And it has been confirmed to be after RE6.

I think it's safe to say that Umbrella plays some role in RE7 in some way, shape, or form. Not much more to say than that, but the Umbrella logo has appeared twice in RE7 stuff already (that photo, and in the TGS art with them all sitting around the table (not the gameplay one, the fancy art with them with a lot of hidden details), the Umbrella logo is formed in the mirror through mirror cracks).

But Umbrella playing some role is honestly hardly surprising. It's played a role in every RE game until now really, maybe with the exception of the Revelations games (depending how you look at it, but the symbol never appears).

Like I said, this guy will be a Umbrella employe and these pictures where taken when Umbrella hunted him for taking T-Virus samples.

I am getting close to be so confident to make a bet on this :D

I've been saying this for a while, but there's obviously more going on in RE7 than the Baker's. I doubt the Baker's own an industrial plant like we see in the game's key art. My honest expectation:

-The Baker's are the main antagonist of RE7 obviously.
-HOWEVER, I think there may be some organization that is filled out in the background. It's what the series is building up towards is from the ashes of competitive 'arm race black market' bio-organic weapons competition globally so that one corporation is going to stand above the rest. Umbrella Corps and the Revelations 2 manga are about this in part, and there's some things that don't make sense in RE7 if its just the Baker's at play here.
-I think this organization will become a multi-game enemy and won't be taken down by the end of RE7, though I think the Baker family will, MAYBE with the exception of Lucas. Capcom have said that Lucas "is a major character" without any more emphasizing what they mean, and notably Lucas is currently the member of the Baker family they've shown off the least, being the son and supposedly this 'major' character, I say he stands a chance to be more than a one-off character and the legacy of his family.

I kind of am expecting RE7 not to be just a one and done deal. It's the series 20th anniversary and I think RE7 is the 'start' of the third major 'arc' in the series (first major arc would be RE0-Code Veronica to forge the 'Umbrella' Arc as I call it. The second arc would be RE4-Revelations 2 to forge the 'Bio-Terror' Arc). They're not officially known as this, but they show a shift in direction for the series on multiple fronts, including narrative, gameplay style, and focuses. Not only is RE7 a the third major change to the formula, even if first-person or whatever didn't stick I feel the elements of RE7 aren't a one-and-done deal and I will bet they will build up elements in this game to be played out in future title.

Of course, we won't know until we know.

Just finished the main campaign of Revelations 2. Barry Burton is such a bad ass! Wonder how much the ending cinematic will tie in to anything going forward, this being
Natalia reading the book on her bed and seemingly now being Alex Wesker

How is Capcom with multiple dics version of a game in a region?
I can preorder Resi 7 for 15€ off but I dont want another account for DLC - I am not sure, but until now they went always with one disc per region, right?

There were two discs for languages with RE6 on 360. Aside from that DLC has always been a voucher.
Except for RE5 gold edition on ps3

On resident evil Reddit there's a new image of Margaret and what looks like the shotgun being held by a statue.

Not gonna post for obvious reasons

So, whos ready for Mahvel Jake?

I've been wondering how many Resident Evil characters are going to get representation in Marvel Vs Capcom 4. I'd place my bets it'll have the second most reps for Capcom behind Street Fighter, due to it being one of the only series Capcom has frequently focused on in the last few years.

3-5 is my guess, though who is up for debate. Wesker probably due to his MvC3 popularity, certainly.

A new article from a Spanish magazine came out.
Not completely translated yet but some smal tidbits.

Coins are used to unlock "upgrades" that are locked in cages. I'm guessing this is their call back to the merchant without actually having a seller.

Mia last name is Winters

Something about 3 final bosses and you fight one with your car?

New enemy called hologram

Camille Baker and the little girl will be "real scary"

Well yeah, it's RE so no surprise if it gets a big number of reps.
Hope they put Jake in because he'd feel at home in a crazy game like Marvel vs Capcom rofl

"Hologram"?
Pls dont be some gimmick ass shit rofl

Upgrade system sounds nice, i mean is it the first time we have modern RE upgrade system implemented in a really classic-like RE like 7?

"Hologram" sounds like a ghost-like enemy.. :\ Hope it's not. For some reason I just can't take supernatural enemies seriously.

I'm playing The Evil Within right now, and some of the cheap jumpscare enemies I've encountered fit the name of a "Hologram." And all they've done is make me laugh.

Maybe I'm just too densensitized after playing horror games for so long, I don't know.

The other threads about this have clarified that the Hologram creatures are like Hunters, with the only way to kill them to dismember them. Not too ghost sounding, really.

After reading the new impressions and watching that B-Roll footage I still feel the same about RE7. Meh.

I'll still play it, but no way I'm gonna be buying it day 1 (will probably pick up a used copy in a few months)

The best thing about RE7 for me is that once it releases, we will (hopefully) start getting info on RE2 Remake. Please don't fuck that up Capcom.

I'm worried about two things:

1- Will there be random encounters? I hate scripted stalkers, but In Resident Evil I think it works, I hope it's like Nemesis where he only shows up and follows you in certain places only.

2- Bullets are rare and I'm happy, but if all my saved bullets can be depleted with one enemy encounter, then It might be a bit too much for me.
If they are going the Clock Tower route ( which I hope they are not) then it might lose some of Resident Evil's tone, which gave you the pwer to choose whether you want to fuck this monster up or not.

1. The Game Informer interview Dusk talked about awhile backed confirmed stalkers are random or at least random-esque. For example one GI member played while the other watched, and the other member played the same section and didn't get the same trigger for jack or something like that. So I can't say it'll be 100% random, but I think we can bet on not everyone getting the same staler encounters in a general sense.

2- We know there are more weapons in the game and ammo to kill the enemies quicker that we can craft. So I think it's gonna base a lot on needing the full game. Only one monster and such is kind of a odd way to showcase things I feel.

Playing RE 4 right now, really enjoying it, I have a few issues but overall it's looking to be a 9/10 experience.

-The environments are really great. What I love is how much time it takes, when you're walking, to traverse them. It really adds to the atmosphere and the pacing, as oppose to a lot of games these days which are just constantly throwing things at you, RE 4 really gives you time to absorb and observe everything around you.

-I don't really like the castle stages, but that's more of a personal preference thing, I don't like castles in general. I loved the countryside stages, wish they had done more of these but the castle probably provides more of that classic RE vibe (haven't played any other RE games so I'm just guessing). But yeah, there would be a lot of times in those first two chapters where I would just tilt the camera and stare at the sky for a while, just this bleak gray mist with darker clouds in the distance, this game can get seriously beautiful at times.

-The gameplay. Here's where I jump off the bandwagon: I love the controls. Why I love them is they're so tight, and responsive. I started alternating between this and Dead Space 3, and the change was a shock. Games these days are so jerky/oversensitive! Moving the joystick in the slightest direction gets him moving way too fast. In RE4, Leon's movements have this great sense of stability. Also, I really don't mind the menu that pops up to select items. Some may say "it interrupts the flow of the game," and I can definitely understand that, but at the same time it adds a feeling of strategy and deliberate-ness to every action. When you switch from your pistol to a shotgun, you've had time to think about it, so you're totally committed to that decision. I can also understand though why people might say "it's harder to switch weapons in the flow of the action," because it probably is, I just like the methodical feeling RE 4's menu switch gives you.

-One thing I don't like about the controls is how Leon will start waving the gun around, and you can't steady it (does the stock steady it?). What's up with that?

-For the most part, the enemies are really cool. For the most part. The Ganados, Dr. Salvador, the cultists, all the other human enemies--great. They totally add to the bleak atmosphere of the game by giving the appearance of these dull, thoughtless yet primitively intelligent attackers who are more or less human. And that's what I wished they were. I guess the parasites are "ok" but I think they're pretty ridiculous and the supernatural vibe they brought kind of ruined the previous atmosphere I was talking about, like if Walking Dead suddenly got aliens. I also thought the Gigantes were really bland, and the fights got really repetitive. Just shoot with shotgun, run away, repeat. The dogs--terrifying. The Garradors--amazing design and movements. Even the bugs were pretty cool because they were more or less bulky human size but didn't over-exaggerate, and I got pretty panicked when they all started swarming, it would be like a bunch of giant mosquitos or crane flies all trying to land on you. But like I said I think they fumbled at some points in the enemy regard.

-Another thing they really fumbled at, my biggest flaw with the game, is in the story and characters. They need to make a remake where the entire script is just completely scrapped and re-written from the ground up to match the dark atmosphere the gameplay has going. It's so hard to take anybody or anything seriously when Leon and Salazar are constantly making cheap jokes at everything. If the characters can't take the game seriously, why should I? Speaking of Salazar, his voice acting was horrendous. It wasn't even funny how over-done he was. Thankfully, the gameplay has such incredible atmosphere, with all the dark lighting and ambient music, that I was able to overlook the story and just appreciate it as a game.

-Additional things: The cultist laugh when he's right behind you is one of the best things I've ever heard in a video game, lol. And Leon's kick is so awesome. Speaking of awesome, the song called "Ganado 2" is one of the best percussion beats I've ever heard, so intense when you hear that and see a bunch of Ganados scattered around, deciding whether to switch to the Red9 or move to a more tactical vantage point, or take some out with the rifle while you still have the element of surprise.

This is actually where you jump off the bandwagon. The earnest delivery of supremely droll camp is Big Trouble in Little China tier, and that should be treasured.

I've heard a lot of people actually like the cheesy writing and voice actingin what otherwise could be an incredibly dark survival-horror franchise...I can't understand it for the same reason I can't see the appeal of action-comedy (is it supposed to be serious, or funny?) but to each their own I guess.

I'm finally playing RE0 for the first time on PC and it just keeps reminding me how much I enjoyed Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii. I was really hoping Capcom would port it to PC when they announced the PS3 versions but I'm still waiting as my Wii is dead and I don't have a Wii U. It's also a nice change of pace from RE5 that I played before starting 0.
When I finish 0 I'll have all the main games finished (except Code Veronica as I don't have a way to play that) and will just wait for RE7.

I still think they'll eventually get around to it, but might be lower on their priorities list. Umbrella Chornicles, Darkside Chronicles, and most notably Code Veronica still need to come to PC.

They also did one for Parasite Eve.

Oh my, their style if effectively simplistic yet nifty.
